Not sure if this is really the place to put it, but I agree with Beefy that all of the bats barring Strauss have to play for their counties next week. Give the bowlers a rest though, maybe let Swann have a twirl.
They should, but I'd be astounded if any of them did.

I'd only rest Strauss and Anderson from this XI, and perhaps Cook, Prior, Broad and Swann depending on what they think they most need.

Haha good point, tell Ravi he needs a holiday and send him to Antarctica for a month
Haha, tbh I expect if he did go back and play for Essex his performance would be largely irrelevant, I think the selectors would have already made up their mind as to whether or not they want to drop him. Feel a bit sorry for the bloke, it's not his fault that he pasted the West Indies all over the place.

Manou in for Haddin.

Hauritz in for Hilfenhorse.

Lee in for Ponting (need Lee with some game play in case one of the bowlers goes down injured between now and the 5th Test).

Haha hope he is rested, anything to disrupt him regaining form will be most welcome. His over in which he got Collingwood out was absolutely immense.

If they rest Johnson they should be shot.
Yeah I agree. Would rest Hilfy as he's bowled quite a bit so far. Clark would be in there and I'd give Hauritz and Lee a run. Siddle too. Would shorten us up on the batting to make sure the bowlers that needed a run got one.

Jungle Jumbo

International Vice-Captain
Experimental-looking Lions squad announced, quite like the look of it personally:

Jamie Dalrymple, captain (Glamorgan)
Michael Carberry (Hampshire)
Stephen Moore (Worcestershire)
Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire)
Andrew Gale (Yorkshire)
Steven Davies (Worcestershire)
Liam Plunkett (Durham)
Chris Woakes (Warwickshire)
James Harris (Glamorgan)
Steve Kirby (Gloucestershire)
Gary Keedy (Lancashire)

Nice mix of senior players and youth. Keedy finally gets some kind of international recognition, he must be one of the best uncapped current players.

Norwood's on Fire
SSn are wondering aloud whether Trott being picked and Ramps not has any bearing on the side that will play at The Oval. I reckon not tbh.

Especially as the pondering is from an ex Blue Peter presenter and some blonde eye candy (surprisingly not very attractive), who knows Ramps purely from his exploits on Saturday night.
