For Lazio I mean. I know SAF got ripped off big time by signing him. 2000-202 there was insane amounts of money being spent by a lot of clubs. The Italians were some of the biggest culprits at this.

Not sure on the price but he was bloody amazing for Lazio so I don't think it matters. It's more about transfer flops than anything.

Funnily enough I watched the start of the Bundesliga this morning - Wolfsburg v Stuttgart, and Stuggart's starting XI had 3 ex-Prem players in it, Jens Lehmann, Thomas Hitzlsberger, and Alexander Hleb. Obafemi Martins was an unused sub for Wolfsburg.

The Portuguese & Greeks were rewarded with Fiorentina & Atlético Madrid respectively

If Arsene doesn't want to spend it then he should give Tranmere a few £m to not only build the clubs coffers up but also to buy some good players to get up into the Championship. It's only fair IMO.
