Nah aaron bangladesh way too conservative,don't forget bangladesh has gone from near certain wins to losses and draws.
Expect bangladesh to bat at least to lunch,where it will be a draw.
This is not like the ashes,need compettive sides for that.
Bangladesh at least looked to have saved its test status tho,maybe next test.

The first Test at Cardiff was not 'competitive'....

Australia totally dominated it, and England hung on for a draw. At no stage was an England win in the reckoning. At least with this Test, all three results are a possibility.

However, I would think a draw is heavily favoured.

Weather permitting, the Bangla Boys look set for victory. Windies lack of batting and poor fielding (Iqbal dropped early by the captain) being the difference.

If the big boys don't comeback for the second test, hopefully the Windies are able to get at least a few proper batsman into the top six. In ****roach and Sammy they have the bowlers to trouble the Bangladeshis; just need a few guys who can hold a bat.

Mahmudullah cleaning up on debut. He actually looked a pretty classy cricketer on the few occassions I saw him play in ODIs.. I'm not convinced that he's good either in either discipline to ever become a legitimately Test standard allrounder, but I reckon he's a got a lot more chance of doing so than the vast majority of their specialists do of best Test standard in their respective disciplines, so good luck to him.

Despite what his performance in this game will lead you to believe, though, his batting's much better than his bowling.

Pleased Bangladesh won, in my mind it was the right result for cricket. Firstly, if Bangladesh couldn't beat a West Indies C team then it really would prove once and for all what a great waste of time having them as a test playing nation is and secondly hopefully this result will force the WICB into taking the WIPA's demands seriously and sorting out this whole mess.

Jimmy Adams WIPA VP on radio ( Not my writing just a copy and paste):

Jimmy is tracing them re the Digihel contracts where the Board continues to attempt to sell the players rights.

WICB - pure lies - lumping agreement for ECB tour plus sponsors money to make it look like the players are unreasonable. One is part of retainer contract and the other is the tour money.

Bottom line Digi een paying over the money until players have retainer contract.

The fee of 1.4* million was agreed on April 2nd and WIPA didn't know what the Board was collecting from the ECB. It did not include the sponsors money.

Jimmy says all of these issues are the result of the fundamental error - the board attempting to sell players' rights to Digi when they do not own them. Justice Lucky was correct - the arbitrators were correct and I was correct.

Just as I've said. Meanwhile they also sold to Stanfraud what they didn't own.

The four ODIs against India - they are outside of FTPs. Board must negotiate tour separately.

Medical claims _ WIPA filled out forms but some info comes from the WICB and the WICB refuses to give them that information (medical reports, physio & medical stuff).

I told allyuh dat ages ago. Even though the players won, the board sold the players rights and refuse to resolve this.

clears up what i have been saying. the fees was 1.48 million and that is separate from the sponsorship obligations. does not beleive what the fee figure is from the board that they collected until the ecb concurs.

we will continue to represent the interest of the players. if the players want to play under the circumstances, then we will support them. wipa doesnt bar anybody. we represent the players' mandate. one of the things i hope is that no roup of player is marginalized or victimized. i always beleive in teh best team on the field. whover the best when the issues are settled must represent on the field.

Wow, seriously tough times for Windies fans atm. I know there's a dispute and all, but I thought this time last year they were beginning to show signs of a come back of some sort.
