Can't help but feel Australia are going to win this in a canter. I'm expecting some swing for the pacemen and then some turn for Hauritz obvs. Siddle for a haul hopefully.

What's this? A wicket?

Declaration! :D
Yep. 3 down before the rain imo.

C'mon Cooky, bring your off-stump game to play please.

Largest Aussie score v England since 1934 apparently. Would have liked to have seen 700 personally.

Don't think England will have too much trouble playing out for the draw. Don't get me wrong, have alot of confidence in Johnson and Siddle, but on this pitch there's not a lot of hope.
We shall see. You think "no worries at all"? Only 239 runs behind..."not too much trouble".

Great confidence you show. I saw England play in the last Ashes series, and quite a bit of them playing on tour in the West Indies recently. Also saw them batting in the first innings.:laugh::laugh:

Yep they had to do it now really though they aren't going to hav hardly any time to try and get the 1st wicket as the rain is knocking on Cardiff's door now, should be in the next 15-30 mins I'd guess...and once it comes in there aren't many breaks, may get some play in the late eveing possibly but that'll be it.

Didn't they score 435 in the first innings? More than enough to save this game.

60 pages. About par I guess. Won't even try reading all the posts.

Will say though that England to lose.

Hadn't spent two days in the field playing piss poor cricket before that innings, though. An early wicket, and the innings could really just fall to pieces.
Quite right, yes, but how they batted first time round isn't evidence of that. Neither is their performances against the West Indies itbt, they completely dominated with the bat on pitches like this one.

Technology for technology's sake.
What's the point of that microscopic camera on the footmarks? I've got polished floorboards and if you used that camera on em they'd look like the Grand Canyon.

agree, as tempting as it is to label them everything under the sun, if England make 5/300 or similar to save the match quite comfortably, I sense a psychological victory/nullification on their behalf from the carnage we just witnessed.

ripper, I'd say its a lot closer then that, if its not raining by 3:45 I'll be surprised, no more then 15-20 miles west of Cardiff at the moment.
England just need to survive with all wickets in tact and then odds for a draw must increase a lot for the final day.
