*Official* Pakistan in Sri Lanka

First Class Debutant
lead of about 150 would have been great for Pakistan. And now i think srilanka has so much time to score near about 400 Runs.

Really feel like it's a wrong move making Dilshan keep wicket.
Yeah. Been busy and out of the cricket loop for a while, but I looked at the scorecard this morning, and thought WTF?!!!

Would prefer Prasanna back if he is available, and Dilshan at 3, followed by Sanga and Mahela.

Murali Injured. Dilshan and Sangakkara will share the keeping. (2nd test Sanga may be keeping).

Since Matthews performed admirebly, there is a case that one opener may get the chop when Prasanna Jayawardane comes back.. On current form it's Warnapura, unless he bludgeons a century this time and Paranaithana gets out for a low score. Sangakkara may open, with Jayawardane, Samaraweera, Mathews, Dilshan, P Jayawardane, Kulasekara, Prasad, Thushara and Mendis in the second test (provided that Murali is not fit)

I think the selectors made a big mistake in the side for the first Test....

With Malinga and Murali out, and Vaas being forced into retirement, the bowling was always going to be a bit on the light side. So, going in with four bowlers and an allrounder (Mathews) was never really going to cut the mustard. Instead, SL should've dropped one of those bowlers (or Mathews) and strengthened the batting, maybe with the inclusion of Vandort....

I don't see why they would need to go in with 3 bowlers when the attack is weak. The only surprise is preferring to go with Thilan Thushara when Dammika Prasad is in the squad!

Michael Vandort is way off the selectors radar, hasn't been performing in the domestic scene. If an extra batsman should come in it'll be either Chamara Kapugedara, Mahela Udawatte or Kaushal Silva.

All credit to Aamer, he's been fantastic so far! Great prospect for Pakistan!

Three bowlers? I thought Mathews was supposed to be an allrounder?
Personally, I'm not convinced he's anything more than a bits-and-pieces player, who should really be playing the shortened version of the game....

Dilshan should not be keeping wicket AND batting at six. I think England are making the same mistake with Prior. I believe a keeper should really bat no higher than seven in Tests....

If Mathews is a batting allrounder, he should be batting at six. But is he good enough?
