The weather might be an issue. Last time I checked, it's forecast to chuck it down.A tie will take the Windies through tomorrow so we're gonna have to go for the win

Oh yeah. keep forgetting about that. Jeez I don't think I could handle one of themNo ties, super-over.
Of course England were the better side. But England did not make India give away ****ing 16 extras, ie, 10 more than what England gave. Also England did not make India send in a part timer to "protect" their best batsman.
We were brilliant
Rain.No ties, super-over.
Just think, as others have said, against the better bowlers who bowl short and quick he's looking all at sea at the start of the innings. Taylor and Edwards against him tomorrowCan't really see what Wright has done wrong tbh. In this tournament and in the warm-ups he's got quick runs and has failed no more often than is reasonable to expect. He's fielded well and he's bowled well in highly pressurised situations.
Yeah. And as usual the impossible short leg side boundaries only helping his cause. The sad thing is, there will be a couple of ODI series in India and Raina will keep pulling waist high 'short' balls merrily and the crowd will forget all about this debacle. The newspapers are going to annoy the hell out of me for one week. Thats for sure.
Napier for Dimi wouldn't be the worst shout.Hope England replace Mascarenhas. Just a passenger who can't do a job at this level on these sorts of pitches.
India never made our seamers bowl brilliantly either, but whateverOf course England were the better side. But England did not make India give away ****ing 16 extras, ie, 10 more than what England gave. Also England did not make India send in a part timer to "protect" their best batsman.
England obviously has imminent problems to work upon as regards to their batting. Owaste Shah and Dimitri Nascar has to step up or give way. There is too much reliance on KP and not always he is going to click.
Would agree that India lost rather than England won.
It's a big ask for Napier to come in and make his debut now, though.Napier for Dimi wouldn't be the worst shout.
I think if he replaced Dimi though he's not under massive pressure, he's not necessarily got to bowl his full allocation and is essentially a floating hitterIt's a big ask for Napier to come in and make his debut now, though.
Yeah, thats true. I do think England wouldn't make 100 if this was played on a proper subcontinental turner though. The younger Indian players aren't exposed to such conditions, and its tougher adjusting to the pitch when you've got to go after the bowling from ball one, compared to Test cricket where you're afforded the luxury of playing yourself in. The inability of the guys to play the short ball is far more excusable than the blunders that could have been avoided with some common sense.Strategy? Horrible.
Team selection? Very Horrible.
But the top order's inability to play the short ball, or at least see it off? Disgraceful. That was the difference.
True. I'd love to see him too. But it's difficult as we have no idea how he'd go. At least with Dimi you know what you're getting.I think if he replaced Dimi though he's not under massive pressure, he's not necessarily got to bowl his full allocation and is essentially a floating hitter
I Think you are right.. There was no need to experiement for the sake of experimenting.. Dhoni came in at 3 for all games and i thought it was for the right/left combination.. but against WI when rohit got out he sends in Raina.. Wonder what he was thinking... Eng although are crap, cant take them lightly...
Didnt he score 87 in the last ODI he played, Wasn't he one of the Success stories of the Windies Tour.. England are crap in all forms becuase of this stupidness.. It's 20 overs ffs and even if prior can drop a few it's ok his batting his destructive enough... IMO
How'd that work out for ya Ganesh?England are pure and unadulterated BS in any form of cricket T20 they are the best..
Well that's all well and good, the tournament is being held in england so it's kind of irrelevantYeah, thats true. Sure, you were. The argument is that that brilliance could have come to naught had India used some common sense.
