I thought it was a flagrant but don't think it's a suspendable offence. Big difference. You watch 90's ball and that type of stuff happens all the time. Prefer it when there is a level of allowable contact, the NBA is way too soft these days.
They were talking about a 2nd flagrant.
The push in Game 3 was upgraded to a flagrant, and Jones was told to be careful. Hence the trip on Kobe was seen as suspendable as it was definitely on purpose, and a 2nd flagrant (if called).

Of course, by itself it is wasn't suspendable, that wasn't the point.

The first being upgraded to a flagrant was the joke in itself. Not the second one.

Denver losing it here. These technicals are moronic.

Just started into 2k9, anyone got a list of all trades that happened this season? Done the major ones but just want to complete it.
Do you have Xbox Live? They do auto roster updates if you're logged in. And stat changes for how they've done this seaosn.

God this Lakers side is pathetic and does not deserve to win a title. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for Laker fans to watch back-to-back games. The only reason these conference finals are close is because none of the teams are any good.

Wade wouldn't have done it without Shaq. His instant double team made it happen for Miami. They had a ridiculous crop of role players on that team too.

Lebron carrying his team to the Finals against the Spurs was more impressive as he truly had a bunch of scrubs to take with him.
Wade did it alone, Shaq was just another player in that team, nothing special.

Wade would have done it alone. I dont think I have seen a better MVP performance in NBA is last 10 years.

The point which still remains that having Shaq in the team alters an opponents entire scheme of guarding a player like Wade. Watch any of the highlights of the game and you'll see almost all of Wade's penetration was accompanied by Shaq making a move along the baseline or pulling a post defender away from the rim which spreads the floor and creates a whole heap of lanes towards the rim.

Without his presence it's a lot easier for a team to set up a defence to tackle Wade, which is what we are seeing this season now that Dwayne's healthy again. He's a bit like Kobe for mine, get it done without Shaq and then we'll see.

Don't have online yet so haven't done that but my bro-in-law did and says Bulls are very underrated. Will play you online when I get it.
I wouldn't say that, they're a playoff team without the post game to get enough easy baskets to be a contender. Pretty realistic for mine, Gordon is a bit overrated. You'll love playing with Rose and Hinrich even more now though.

I'm absolute pants. Can't defend, decent in attack but when they aren't falling I leak major pointage.
Yeah the D isn't easy to get used to in this game. Inside is very difficult as well. I never could score consistently in the paint until I got Bynum and improved Ty Thomas.

Ha, they're both 99's in my assoc. mode (through development of course).

I'm getting totalled by every attack on Rookie. Really bad. Just don't know what I can do, every guard beats me on the dribble, every big man just hooks his way 40 points a game, I can't grab a rebound to save my life (last game I got out-rebounded by 40 boards).

Pretty annoying.

Cut your teeth by playing as the help defenders first before going man defender. For guards it's pretty easy just hold back a little bit instead of being right in their face so you can cut across them if they go at the rim, if they have a great jumper it might hurt you a bit but try and get your hands up and into them if the launch one.

Big men if they get the ball too close to the basket then forget about it best you can do is push up into them hard and try and contest. Key to rebounding is boxing out, if you're the closest guy make sure you wrap whoever you're guarding up and more often than not another of your guys collects the board.

On ball steals are the key skill for D imo, if you get a lot of steals you can get a truckload of points on the break, most big men are susceptible to a help defender coming over and nicking it form them but you gotta watch out if they are good passers then it's an easy three for a shooter.

On offence you gotta learn how to use screens and learn some of your team's plays and it becomes a lot easier.
