***Official*** IPL 2009

Fielding all tournament has been of a village standard but yesterday took the biscuit. Smith should have been dismissed for 0 twice (and Albie should have had figures of 0-3).
Agree on the fielding. A multitude of really simple chances have been shelled throughout the IPL. Both the international stars and the young Indian domestic players are both at fault.

Not just catching, can players hit the stumps in the field? Do players show any commitment to back up the thrower? Very few fielding moments for the highlights reel for my liking. Twenty20 usually showcases the best of fielding.

The semi-finals might go to % with the closeness of many of the teams. So it will be important to avoid massive losses.

Albertus failed to fire with the bat again.

"In an effort to engage myself emotionally with the IPL, I have tried to artificially create a personal link to some of the teams. I jumped a motorcycle over eight London buses in an effort to make myself feel like a Daredevil. I held a mobile phone and put my fingers into an electrical socket to convince myself I was a Charger. I jumped on Sir Ian Botham’s back and made him give me a piggy back, but still I felt little like a Knight Rider. I paraglided into Buckingham Palace and invited the Queen to wrestle me, but had I become a true Royal Challenger? Alas, no."

Warnie's team has been sent in on a bowl first, grassy pitch. Could be another win for the KXI. Time for Smith to perform or make way for someone who can. He's been struggling in SA conditions compared with his compatriots with lack of technique an issue. Sreesanth makes his first appearance.

Second ten overs could do anything and the deck looks flat as. But they are defo in a very strong position.
