He has been scoring at an excellent pace so far this season. And now has the orange cap too. An S/R of almost 200, good stuff. Mallaya can go stuff his face.

I have no problem with rewarding performances and making changes, but the way Mallaya treated Dravid last year and during the off season - in public - was embarassing.

The future for India does look rosy with the likes of Tiwaryand Uthappa.. 
Seriously, these kids need to get a grip of themselves and learn some humility and technique before they start giving stupid statements..
Their statements are bigger in words than in runs...
All they need to do is to learn from Dravid or Sachin.. There is nothing wrong with self-confidence or even arrogance but when you cant even score 10 runs, it is gonna look extremely silly.

Haven't heard much from Kohli or Tiwary, what did they say? Obviously both would do well to learn a little bit from Dravid.The future for India does look rosy with the likes of Kohli and Uthappa..

Add Manoj Tiwary to the above two and you get men whose statements are a lot bigger in words than in runs....

Yea, they won't win. I want Dravid to come out of it well and Mallaya to end up on his face again.Top partnership but too little too late, top order left way too much to do. Loving Dravid as highest run scorer though

edited the post now.. dunno abt Kohli but there were too much of his fanboys crowing around after he got that 100 against Australia..
But yeah, haven't heard much from the man himself, so it was unfair on my part.. hence changed the post.
Tiwary, juz listen to any of his zillion interviews man... Some were shown on Neo Cricket.. some I have read... He is another Uthappa... Make no mistake about it.

The whole side really, as someone in the CI comments said, for all the much maligned players like Dravid, it's not like any of the international stars are performing. Last season as well - White, Bracken, Steyn, Boucher none of them did very much and now we have Ryder and Taylor who are yet to make much impact.

If we are picking the two 'oldies', then the World T20 starting XI woud probably look like this...
1. Gautam Gambhir
2. Virender Sehwag
3. Rahul Dravid
4. Sachin Tendulkar
5. Yuvraj Singh
6. MS Dhoni (capt & wk)
7. Yusuf Pathan
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. RP Singh
10. Praveen Kumar
11. Zaheer Khan
That looks extremely strong to me. However, I think strong performances from Tendulkar and Dravid are needed throughout the rest of the IPL to justify the lack of fielding ability that would be provided by Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma or Suresh Raina.

Tendulkar has said he doesn't really want to play T20I, so I think he is out.
