The inclusion of Michaels for Brisbane and the inclusion of Hegarty (!) for North Queensland has made that game a nightmare to tip again. I'm still not sure on it. I'll post my tips tomorrow.

Where did you read that? There's nothing on any of the major news websites that I can see.

He hasn't been cleared AFAIK. ALl that's apparentyl happened is the DNA has come back and not revealed anything.

Bare in mind the police charged him before the DNA results came back, suggestive of there being some other evidence sufficient to at least ground the charge.

I'd heard a neighbour had put their video camera on the court yard after hearing the screams. Don't know if that's true, but if so they may have used that as some evidence.

He hasn't actually been cleared, but at the moment there is inclusive information.

He is still suspended for 5 rounds (4 games) at the moment.

Why the Cowboys picked up Shannon Hegarty in the off-season, and then started him tonight is totally beyond me. He wasn't the only Cowboy player to make mistakes (Tonga/Webb made some costly ones) but unlike Webb/Tonga he isn't capable of making a play that can turn a match either. Cost the Cowboys at least one try, and was at fault for another imo.

Went to the game last night, was a fantastic atmosphere. Had money on Falou first try scorer and Broncos by 13 paying $21, unfortunately didn't go through, but got the Broncs on 1-12 so not a bad return in the end. Was a great game nonetheless.

Great two games to start the season, Dragons and Storm game was fantastic, you'd normally expect a lot more mistakes and a slower game in round 1.

The whole team made mistakes, but Hegarty was easily the worst Cowboys player on the pitch afaic. If you want overrated and overhyped, look no further than Falou. Andrew Voss put in a Mark Nicholas-esque effort in making you want to mute the game because he wouldn't ****ing shut up about him. Mind you, Bowen got his fair share of dribble, but it was overshadowed by FALOU, oooh FALOU!!!
