I'm talking value to the team, and I think he adds more value to the team playing with a little more intent. I'll be glad if he's developed his game to the stage where he can do this successfully.

Clearly if he could then he would, but equally he's infinitely more use averaging 50-60 at a SR of 41 than averaging 29 at a SR of 58. In fact he's precisely no use whatsoever in the latter.

And TBH I think if Strauss tries to play that way he won't have much success. It's just not within his natural capabilities.
