My god, I think he made one T20 half century and absolutely bombed in the ODIs.

He is not entitled to a thing.

The media are still hanging everything on that knock about three months ago in the T20.

Make some white clothes runs FFS.
He obviously can't do it unless given a chance, his performances for Australia notwithstanding, he has done relatively well enough for NSW, in order to be considered for FC side, NSW really doesn't have many better choices than him atm, so it won't have been the worst decision ever to pick him for the FC game.

Apparently it's between him and Khawaja, and he's scored quite a lot for the second XI.

Fresh from their outright win against the Bullls, the aim is to secure points and an outright win at the WACA to challenge the Warriors, on percentage, for fourth place on the table.

Matin Love will retire one of the greats of Queensland cricket. Such a gun player and lovely to watch. Should have played far more tests, but I guess in a sense was lucky to get the 5 that he did. Showed his true class by scoring so many centuries in finals games.

Noble One

International Vice-Captain
Martin Love a great of the modern Australian domestic scene. Always seemed to be one of the most in form batsmen in the competition. Almost was the expected norm to check on the Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup scores and see Love compile another century. Just piled upon the runs year after year.

True he was unlucky to only play the 5 tests he did. Did a respectable job under the baggy green, not many players score a century and then never play again.

End of an era for Queensland. They produced some fantastic batsmen throughout the 90's. Was little wonder they broke their shield drought and then proceeded to dominate the competition for the next decade. Stuart Law, Martin Love, Jimmy Maher and Matthew Hayden all such fine servants of Queensland cricket.

Oh FFS, I picked Ferguson ages ago and he so deserved it.
Yup, Ferguson should have had got this hands down, but makes no sense in giving it to Henriques, Benny Laughlin, or even Reardon would have been better choices than Henriques.

Almost all the QLD greats from the 90s are now gone. Bichel, Kasper, Love, Hayden, Maher, Law, Seccombe all gone now.

Only Symonds and Perren left.

Only young guns with potential to play for Australia seem to be Reardon and Watson, which is sad. Though there may be some glimmer of hope with the ranga's kid (McDermott) or one of the other young quicks, but they'll have to develop a lot more before they're in with a shot.
