Given that i don't think anyone agreed with Strauss's decision re the follow on, though a few understood it, I think its fair that he's going to come in for a massive amount of criticism on here.

Good job I missed ther last half hour, judging by the last couple of pages on here - the sight of that lanky knobhead unable to make Edwards & Powell play would have been more than I could cope with.

Well done WI - they got through their moment of crisis, whereas we waved the white flag during ours in the 1st test.

Awesome work from the wonderful Windies!!

The decision to put Anderson in as nightwatchman in the second innings where he scored 20 runs off 8.5 overs was the difference in the end of the game it must be said.

Agh. Well done Windies.

Andrew Strauss- the single reason England won every session of the game bar one but still came out with a draw.

Oh dear. Dreadful. This is a real test of England's character now. 1 down and 2 to play against a team that they outclass but which has now shown an ability to fight when cornered.

I will wake up in a cold sweat tonight reliving the sight of Jimmy Anderson going in to bat with Alistair Cook last night when we should have been piling on the quick runs.

A bit galling to see a triumphant Daren Powell interviewed. The worst specialist batsman in Test history, although to be fair he did his job today.

He outscored Cook. The chronic defensive approach in (a) not enforcing the follow on, (b) sending in a night watchman, (c) pissing around at 3 an over yesterday morning, (d) batting on forever, and (e) getting a lead of 500 means we have no right to feel sorry for ourselves.

Entirely our own bloody fault.

It's not just not enforcing the follow-on. Why wasn't Broad bowled more in that final session? Three overs in the final session is ridiculous for our form bowler.

It's hard to see us saving the series now. If we can't bowl this lot out with some contribution from Flintoff, we've got next to no chance without him in the next two. For all the justified criticism that Strauss will take, we've yet again been badly let down by some experienced test bowlers. At least one of of these guys should be playing for his test future over the next couple of weeks.

I hadn't realised that. Hopefully someone will ask Strauss at the post-match wake.

I may be alone here, but I was happy with the decision not to enforce the follow-on. What was crazy was batting as if we were trying to save the game when what we needed was to thrash a few quick runs at 6 an over. With our batting line-up that should have been perfectly attainable. But we bottled it.

I thought KP could of bowled more overs than he did at the end, him and Swann could of got that last wicket if they bowled together more.

Unlucky England, bring on Barbados.

Well done Windies, fine rearguard.:)

Gutted, have to say, and what's the point of Harmison, if he can't knock over tailenders on a pitch full of bounce, and treacherous on what nominally should be his length, even though ****s knows what his line & length is other then "the all over the shop" L&L.

So angry at Strauss that I can't even try to put my ire into words......

Awesome, so awesome! Go Windies, Go! :D

Guts and character all the way. Well done. Very well done. So stoked to see them playing hard and good cricket.
