*Official* England in West Indies

International Coach
Hussain rolling out the IPL as an excuse was laughable.

Does he not know the West Indian cricketers (Taylor, Edwards, Sarwan et cetera) were also apart of the IPL auction? Didn’t seem to hinder Sarwan, who hit a century whilst Jerome Taylor after being bought went on to produce his best figures in test cricket...
That's seriously lame especially coming from someone like Hussain, i think rather than people like him finding excuses for this English defeat, they should appreciate the quality of cricket produced by West Indies in this game.

Taylor is one of the most under-rated fast bowlers going around imo, and he stamped his class all over England, poor stuff from England nonetheless, but i think they deserve this for simply playing Ian Bell over Shah.

Haha, first I heard Hussain used that as an excuse. That's pretty poor. What exactly did he say though, that they were lacking focus due to the IPL?

Yeah that was the basic jist.

He was just going through every implausible reason for England’s defeat without considering that England are a one man batting side and Jerome Taylor bowled an exceptional spell which took the pitch out of the equation. Just poor form to mention the IPL, Ian Bell wasn’t apart of it, neither were Cook or Strauss and it wasn’t like KP’s mind was elsewhere, he got a first ball pearler whilst Fred showed the must application.

Hussain's a pretty poor commentator in my mind. Either states the bleedin' obvious or comes out with absolute tripe (full of the goodness of marrowbone jelly). I'm glad he's not on the Channel 9 "telecast". I'll take Tubbs over Nass in the commentary box any day.

Rather a commentator that states the bleedin' obvious than Bill Lawry, who's only 'analytical' comments seem to be either "Australia are in the drivers seat here!" or "Australia aren't out this match yet!".

Congratulations to the West Indies, perhaps we could lend England another load of our players to guide them through these tough times? What a crock of ****

Martin van Jaarsveldt should be eligible soon, yes?
Don’t think so but Claude Henderson is ready to replace Monty, he got British citizenship last year…

And Dawid Malan will be coming to an England middle order soon. As will Eoin Morgan and to complete the poacher process, England only needs Jonathan Trott to start hitting the ball of the square and they can have a top order which is exclusively made elsewhere. :)

Can't also forget that Dwayne Smith wants to represent England as well.

In response to being bowled out for 51, England will probably decide that their bowling attack is not up to scratch. Sidebottom will promptly be dropped with the top six remaining unchanged.
