Sort of. His dismissal of Sanath was smart bowling, and his line has been okay from what I've seen. Had Sanath dropped earlier as well.
That being said there has been some crud mixed in between.

Jadeja bowling around the wicket to the left handers with his SLA bowling. Odd.
Not really doing much atm.
EDIT: He has a good domestic record, both with the ball and bat though (not including his IPL figures). Hopefully he can get a good performance here, because he'd be a good number 8.

Just watching a bit of this, India were always asking for trouble going into the game with only two frontline bowlers and one of them as the Indians on Cricbuzz call him is “Chocolate boy”. 
Pathan is slowly but surely becoming a batting all-rounder. The guy has bowled some real filth during this series and despite having a plethora of spinners, India don’t have one who is good enough to bowl 10.

Sri Lanka should have taken their PowerPlay 15 overs ago when Dilshan and Kumar were carving it up and that would have forced Dhoni into bringing back his best bowler thus depraving him from bowling at the death. Just seems like most captains wait until they bowlers come in before they call for it.
