Below par, and I blame Maharoof. Trying to clear a long square leg boundary with a sweep shot is not on when you have a batting powerplay to come. If he was still there even two overs later they'd have had a shot at 250.

Mubarak is getting to be a pain now...I wonder why Vandort can't take his place. Yes, he crawled in his only ODI, but he's got a superior List-A limited overs average. Maybe not Vandort, but there are better options available for SL.

Hope Butt scores against a non India/minnow team.

Has made 11 runs in his last 5 domestic knocks.

Manzoor looks completley different when he plays for his local team, not good sign for his temprement.

Terrible collapse by Sri Lanka, I went to the gym with them 4 down at around 25 overs with nigh 150 on the board. The only solace for them is that Afridi and Malik got some turn and the wicket is slow and low.

I think pakistan should have attacked the fast bowler and got to atleast 45-50 in 10 over. They have never faced mendis and the murali-mendis combination can turn out to be really tough for them.

Statiscally this would have to be our best bowling attack ever. I don't think we have ever had five bowlers averaging under 27. Minnow bashing ftw.

Hmmm,

55/0 after 15 overs is quite right, when having a modest target of 220.

Didn't watch much of the game, but looks like Sri Lanka has been pretty poor in all departments of the game, the batting seems to be too dependent on a few individuals, and the same goes with the bowling, but Pakistan to their credit have been very clinical in this game so far, and they have handled the threat of Mendis very well too, so was Mendis bowling badly or did the Pakistanis just played him well.

EDIT: Listening to commentary for a few minutes now, and it has been shocking to say the least.

Hard to say really. He didn't get much movement off the pitch at all and gave them a lot to work with. He was outside off-stump quite a lot too, and Manzoor in particular picked him off to third man very well. But he had a lot to do when he came on to bowl. All in all he bowled pretty badly, Pakistan handled him pretty well but it wouldn't be fair to blame the defeat on him.
