After a lot of deliberation on whether to pick an opener or a middle order bat or an all rounder or a second spinner, my next pick is- Conrad Hunte

I've got at least five openers on my list, my first preference is definitely my top player there in fact I was going to hold off on taking him but I think I will go for another opener this round now.

Figured everyone was looking for their 2nd openers and there is some very good guys left. But they all have some issues with their records imo, so I went for Langer who record as a opener is sound.

I still had a couple guys above Hunt on my list ftr, though their state and their style played a big role respectively.

It was his profile that sealed the deal for me tbh. In a team of strokemakers like Sehwag, Bradman and Pietersen, his calming presence and willingness to curb his own strokeplay for the team will be extremely valuable. Besides, he's profiled as a perennial bridesmaid and will make an extremely superb vice-captain (and who knows, he might even deservedly end up as captain of an all-time side if things pan out his way).

Lloyd shouldn't bat as low as no. 7...I don't think you'll get a better batsman than Sangakkara or Lloyd in your next pick...So, it's advisable that you bat Sangakkara at 5, Lloyd at 6 and the next batsman (or al-rounder) you pick at 7...

Lloyd shouldn't bat as low as no. 7...I don't think you'll get a better batsman than Sangakkara or Lloyd in your next pick...So, it's advisable that you bat Sangakkara at 5, Lloyd at 6 and the next batsman (or al-rounder) you pick at 7...

Have you seen Lloyd record at 6 and 7. It is as good at 5, if not slighty better. With the tail we are likely to have Lloyd is perfect at 7 and has batted with worse tails and got runs with them.

I might not get a better batsmen, but balance wise that there best positions in the side.

He was above statham on the top of my list for my third bowler. Was clearly the best bowler in the world in his day and commonly rated as the best since Barnes. My only concern would be how guys like Viv, Sachin, or Gilchrist would treat his medium pace on covermed pitches.

Every pick at this stage is someone I wanted.

Sachin would totally own him, lucky for me I have Sachin.

One opening bat, one middle order and a wicket keeper remain.

There are many very good cricketers left, however I've decided to concentrate on the middle order position as I figure a fair few quality players will be taken before my next go.

Dravid, Tendulkar, Sobers and now one more beautiful batsman on the eye round out my top 6.

David Gower. who averaged 44 will slot into number 5 very nicely.
