Tallest cricketers

Speaking of these tall cricketers, who are some less than ideal height fast bowlers who nonetheless bowled at express pace?

Waqar and Gough come to mind among those I've seen. Neither seems particularly tall compared to the likes of the other express bowlers of their time. And of course Marshall.
You can throw in Malinga as well. Ajit Agarkar on his pomp (which was one or two matches here and there TBH was getting up to 92+mph ) wasn't big either. Fidel Edwards at maximum may be around 6'.

Bruce Reid was 6'8" . Roger Harper was about 6'5". Does anyone remember Willie Watson, I think he was very tall.

The Kiwi bowler? Nah, he'd be about 6'4-6'5. I met him for a coaching session once when I was about 14 and I don't recall being amazed by his height.

Edwards would be about 5'9" imo, similar to Taylor.

Nah, McGrath is about 6'5'' I think, Gillespie roughly the same, and S Clark is about 6'4''.
McGrath is 6'5" and Clark is 6'5 1/2", Gillespie more 6'4" (imo, but the first two are based on the most common listings I've seen as well)

NZ have fielded some unusually tall bowling line-ups in recent years

e.g. Tuffey- 6'5"
Franklin- 6'4" minimum
Mills- 6'4" imo
Oram- minimum 6'6" maximum 6'7"
Vettori- imo, 6'3 1/2"

And then the likes of Michael Mason as a back-up who is minimum 6'4".

Sorry for the dig, but I had to bring up a comment I heard from Martin Crowe the other day about how "Chris Gayle has a huge reach, he's a tall man, about 6'6"".

Funnily enough my (highly star-struck and impressionable) 5'10" brother saw Gayle the other day and said he was "huge, at least 6'6"".

I thought this was worth mentioning because the only listed height I can find for Gayle anywhere on the internet is 6'2". This height pops up a couple of times so it must come from somewhere. It sounds dead right to me. Gayle has never struck me as overwhelmingly tall, and is certainly shorter than Daniel Vettori by near on 2 inches when they meet in the middle for the toss.

However, I almost constantly hear Gayle referred to as "the tall Chris Gayle", yet countless taller players never get the same treatment. Perplexing.

Tom Moody would be one of the tallest players apart from the quick bowlers - 6' 6" according to cricinfo

Probably because the aura of aggression and power associated with Gayle. Makes him seem larger than he actually is. Personally, pleased to be taller than Chris Gayle.

Nah, fairly certain Fulton is a couple of centimetres taller than Oram. I remember watching a guy opening the bowling for SA under-19 with Parnell who looked Morne Morkel-like and quite tall IIRC called Matthew Arnold. Also Joseph Yovich seems quite tall.

Moody was a seam-bowler though, even if a relatively sedate one.

But Jacob Oram is pretty sedate too.

Think Moody might've been similar - though clearly he wasn't as accurate as Oram.
