The mention of Brodie reminds me how I learnt the hard way never to read the Herald Online's "your views" section when it comes to cricket. Apparently we should select Josh Brodie right now, get demoted to associate status and the beauty was...John Bracewells "reign of Terror" and he enjoys destroying our players.

Central smash Otago by 8 wickets. Skippy gets a 50 and Patton gets 110*.

Brad Patton FC stats:

4 matches, one 50, two 100s, HS 142, average of 75.4:laugh: WAG

Will have to check those stats though as I had to use maths and it ain't my strong point.

CD seem to be producing quite a few good batsmen. Taylor, How, Oram, Ryder (started here), Sinclair, Hay, Patton, Worker, Weston (he has nice stats last I checked), Pinga..

The only one I don't think much of is Barnett, and he's been dropped in favour of Worker anyway.

Not entirely true. Worker keeps doing the hard bit, seeing off the new ball and getting to 20-30, but then he keeps getting out. To me that is more a mental thing, rather than anything to do with his ability.

Just meant it in the sense that all the other batsman he suggested are quite fantastic.

Look at all those good starts for Worker without going on! I think that's actually a positive, he's doing all the hard work.
