Cricketer Of The Year
Started a new NZ career last night, played MCC today in a 3 day tour match. Won the toss and batted out the whole three days. Some good efforts but also some nervous 90s in there.
Thats an awesome effort so early into the game, even if it was against the force of the MCC. I've only once passed four figures but that was well into the game after developing players for a number of seasons.

Here is my Durham side at the beginning of my third season in charge. Saw Denly, Lawson & Patel in the domestic draft and couldn't resist, so it meant sacrificing the luxury of an overseas player for a season(Banks & Lawson are English on this). Last season I had some Sri Lankan leg-spin bowling all-rounder called Prassana who averaged less than 19 in all three forms but I think I should be alright. Saunders is a youth who got drafted into my squad at the end of the first season and has a 2nd XI batting average of 81.00, couldn't believe my luck when I saw it ha..

First batting effort of the season went fairly well to say the least. Patel century on his club debut but Saunders out for two weeks with a fracture.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Don't know if I can take any more of these types of results. Swore about 50 times at the game.

This was one hell of a World Cup spesh. Playing as India against England and chasing 270 odd, with the openers Sehwag and Gambhir gone early, it was up to the in form bats Tendulkar and Ganguly to steady the ship. With those two I thought I had the game won until Ganguly was removed for 41. Then a mini collapse, as I attempted aggressive play with Dravid, Laxman and a few tailenders. At 9 down for 200 odd with Tendy at a brisk hundred I thought it was all over so I put him on aggressive and put Patel the last batsmen on normal and set the Tendy on strike hogging mode. To my surprise Tendy started to smear the bowling and taking singles at the end of the over. Game won with about 5 overs to go.

Johnson is like the poor man's Sobers in my ICC08 game, averaging 45 with the bat and 36 with the ball. He's got 3 centuries and numerous fifties and he's prime but expensive strike bowler taking bucketloads.

You should give Cam White bowling technique for aggressive bowling, he transforms into quite the all rounder, averaging 45-50 with the bat and 30-35 with the ball with a low strike rate. Quite awesome.

Sounds good yeah at the moment in ODI's he is averaging 31/25 but hasn't found his feet in the Test game quite yet, but will train up his bowling cheers

Finally found a good youth bowler for my county team this year... Off-spinner and he picked up 100+ wickets in a season 3 years in a row, which is pretty awesome for me. :)

He's got like 40 5-wicket hauls in about 50-60 games, and about 400-odd wickets total... quite sweet. :D

Strangely enough... elsewhere in the world while my Warwickshire season is going on, Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra have become the two best bowlers in the test world. :-O
