**Official** New Zealand in Australia

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Redmond did quite well in the tour match in england, maybe he's nervous at the next level
It strikes me that this is probably his biggest problem, seems like someone who is nervous until they're settled in. Problem is his technique isn't good enough to see him lasting that long...

Southee was obviously tired from his first innings bowling. But if New Zealand win I can buy several cartons of piss to drown my sorrows.
He's a professional cricketer...tired from bowling in a first innings where they knocked them over for 214 and were off the field before the end of the day!? How will he go when a team knocks up 500 over a day and a half?

don't ask me but you can't tell me that going from bowling 135 -140 km/h to 125 - 130 km/h in the space of an innings is not a sign of tiredness.

Lol, ****yness back in Australian supporters?
I think it shows the foolishness of reacting to what happened on the first day...if NZ win it from here they'll have to bat very well, and they'll deserve it if they get up. Can't see it happening though.

Is he possibly injured? If he's tired after that then he shouldn't have been picked as he's obviously not fit enough.

To be fair to him, he's a young guy who isn't exactly experienced like the other bowlers in the team. I imagine he's still trying to find a good level of balance so he doesn't tire as much.

he is only a young fella though (think he's 19-20) bit of conditioning and some experience and he'll be ok

What overreaction though? Australia batted crap in the first innings, just like they did often in India. I don't think anyone here was proclaiming a NZ win? They just suggested the possibility of it.

i think it's confidence, the ball moves around a fair bit in england, and from all reports he went real well in the tour game, then went downhill in the tests

These 2 need to soak up a good 150-200 balls between them. No more posting or cricinfo-ing for me. Let's hope by stumps that the match is still alive.
