If it was anyone else in the team that dropped the catch, they wouldn't come under such scrutiny that Dravid has just come under. Because he's had a poor series with the bat, now everything he does therefore must be poor.I don't hate Dravid, given what he's done for India over the past years. But sadly, his time is up I fear.
Haha, not really this pessimistic in anything else really.Reading some of the posts in this thread, I have no idea how somebody like SS even like's cricket. Sure it is one thing to be a pessimist, but I have no idea how somebody liek that can even get out of bed in the morning.
Haha, I'm unusually cheery in most things to be bipolar, though thinking about it, cricket is not one of those things.Agreed.
Fair enough. I'll tone it down.Doesn't alter the fact that ridiculously pessimistic posts, whether they're attempting to be a jinx or not, takes away from the quality of this thread.
Being holier than thou?If it was anyone else in the team that dropped the catch, they wouldn't come under such scrutiny that Dravid has just come under. Because he's had a poor series with the bat, now everything he does therefore must be poor.
Have you not noticed that the Aussies are still 230-odd runs behind? The Aussies need double that to put pressure on India from here.Fielding cost us a win in Delhi match. I am really worried this time it will cost us the series here.
You give an inch, Australia will take a mile.Have you not noticed that the Aussies are still 230-odd runs behind? The Aussies need double that to put pressure on India from here.
Katich has a seriously awesome record against India, in 12 tests against India he has six 50's and two 100's and an average of 56, that's really a very good effort against a competitive opponent like India.Katich loves playing against India. Including this n.o. innings he's averaging 56. Who can forget his 125 in Sydney which cost India any chance of an away series victory.
Yeah, esp his record in India. Gritty character. I like him.Katich has a seriously awesome record against India, in 12 tests against India he has six 50's and two 100's and an average of 56, that's really a very good effort against a competitive opponent like India.
I haven't been supporting Dravid much since the 2007 WC debacle ..... he was obviously going downhill in his batting and his captaincy was pretty ordinary, in my bookIF Katich capitalises, Dravid should have one innings left to save his immediate test future
I really respect the guy but his form just isnt up to it anymore
Also, a couple of years ago, Ian Chappell made the observation that he knew he wasnt up to it anymore when he started dropping regulation catches. That to him was an indication that his eyes and reflexes had deteriorated and he was unlikely to rediscover top form consistently
Ian also called for Tendulkar's retirement.IF Katich capitalises, Dravid should have one innings left to save his immediate test future

Why haven't you been supporting him? Because he's declining with age? And now he's gone from hero to villain? FFS.I haven't been supporting Dravid much since the 2007 WC debacle ..... he was obviously going downhill in his batting and his captaincy was pretty ordinary, in my book
he has been one of the top performers for India and one of the batting greats so it's sad to see him turning himself into a villain from a hero and that too to just play a few games!!!! .... Kumble too had to go after some disappointing performances
these guys are professionals, earning tons of money. as a professional one is expected to deliver most of the time and not sometimes. take surgeons for e.g., every time, they go into the OT, they have to deliver. there can be no one bad day. I know that sports is different but still there has to be some level of consistency, especially when they are taking tons of money to represent India and deliver
I just find it funny how Indian supporters are already letting their shoulders drop when the truth is that as you said for Australia to have any chance in this game they would need a sizeable lead and then hope that India bat poorly, so a lot would have to go right for Australia to win the game from here.Have you not noticed that the Aussies are still 230-odd runs behind? The Aussies need double that to put pressure on India from here.
