If Haddin was out injured for the Australian summer who would you like to keep wickets, as in who would do the best job for the country? Test Cricket btw..

Graham Manou?

Reckon I'd go with him TBH. Not that I'd expect the Australian selectors to do so.

From what I understand Ronchi and Paine are poor wicketkeepers TSTL, and I know next to nothing about Hartley and absolutely nothing about Wade.

hussey. That way when he's promoted to opener, we can not only fit in Symonds AND Watson, we don't even have to drop White!

I'd take Ronchi. His keeping has improved over the last couple of years (even if his batting has gone backwards thanks to this stupid experiment at the top of the order) and he's far-and-away the best keeper-batsman in the country after Haddin.

I would go for Ronchi, his keeping over the seasons has improved considerably and if he wasn't such an impulsive brain-dead batsman, he would have been seriously pushing Haddin for the wicket-keeping slot in the Aussie side by now.

Who would I like keeping? Hartley
Who would I like in the team to take the wicketkeeper-batsman role? Ronchi

Can't believe I'm about to say this....

Manou is probably the best pure 'keeper of that bunch.

Anyway, I would reckon Ronchi to be next in line.

Wrong. Hartley best wicketkeeper by far.

Worst bat tho.
Dunno about 'by far'. Hartley's pretty good but, generally speaking, Manou is pretty good with the gloves too and from what I've seen, hard to separate them.

Look, gimme a break. It was hard enough for me to say something complimentary about Manou, don't need crap from you about it. haha

Ronchi's wicketkeeping has improved considerably, would have him as one of the best glovemen in AUS now. Especially to the pacemen, from what I've seen of him recently he is serviceable to the spinners but struggles to read the flight well.

Paine's pretty good with the gloves for a 19 year old who opens the batting as well (in both forms sometimes), and certainly has scope to improve. Would probably be one of the worse ones in domestic cricket, but that's not saying much because most of the keepers in domestic cricket are pretty good with the gloves.

I saw him get a ton against SA in Adelaide last year, looked great with the bat. Like you said, average with the gloves but only compared to the other Aussie 'keepers around which is a reasonable standard.

Incidentally, Manou got the first 2 votes and as of this post hasn't got any more.

And what's happened to Adam Crosthwaite and Sean Clingeleffer? Have they both been dumped on the presumption that it's for good?

I presume Daniel Smith has been left-out on the presumption that the 2nd-best NSW wicketkeeper can't also be the 2nd-best Australian wicketkeeper BTW?
