what's going on? a part time spinner is getting all the wickets now, even with a new ball...

good that the top 4 all scored a 50 but some big ones are desperately needed dammit!

If you really want to penalise a team for slow over rates, then dont let them take the friggin new ball after the scheduled time of close!

Anyway, as I've said before, Sehwag is India's best spinner

What's Hussey's out by bowled %? Must be one of the highest in the world amongst specialist batsmen.
I think his common mode of dismissal is caught keeper or at slips while trying to go for a drive or while just fishing outside off, but you are right he does seem to get out bowled way too many time for a frontline batsman.

EDIT: Last over of the day and Clarke facing, this is not good.

Clarke survives, but just... very good umpiring there from Dar.

Hussey's wicket feel at the worst possible time, if he had been there with Clarke till the end it would been a really good day, but still a very resilient effort from all the Aussie batsmen to keep Australia afloat in this game.

Despite losing Hussey late on, Oz wont be too disappointed with the score

However, there is a long way to go and the wicket is already far worse than the position indicates

Oz simply need to bat as long as possible

Lol at Clarke, did his best to get out on the last ball. Will ton up tomorrow now.

Great day for Aus, relative to the past 7 days of Test cricket. Sounds like India bowled well esp Ishant and Sehwag but a dead pitch plus good batting = not much luck. Will be pretty disappointed if we lose this one from here, although not out of the woods yet.

Sharma was good, Khan was okay, Mishra bowled the occasional threatening ball and Kumble was only average. Sehwag the story of the day, really. Bowled beautifully.

Clarke survives, but only just. If Australia can get to 450 tomorrow, say by half hour after lunch, and India bat quick at say 4.5 to 5 rpo for say 30-35 overs and get 150-160, and set Aussies a target of 310-320 to score from around 100 overs.

Kinda hard to believe that neither Ponting, Hussey or Hayden converted their 50's into a century.

Nah, no way. Why would they at 1-0 up?

The pitch looks to become a ripper on Day 5. Unless the spinners put up an extremely bad show, India has got a good winning chance. However given Kumble's defensive captaincy, and conservatism, plus his lack of confidence in his own bowling, he might just want to make it a target of 350+ even if that means batting till stumps tomorrow.

BTW all that can change if India manages to get the remaining 6 wickets for less than 60-65 runs. Looks improbable.
