***Official Australia in India***

Is Watto hurt? Why did he only bowl 5 overs when Hussey bowled 8? Praying not, Watto being decent with bat and ball has been the only positive besides Pontings century in the first test for Australia from this series.

Can we send a snatch squad to roam the casinos and bordellos of the world and bring back Warnie? :p
I blame myself.

Haha wow.

I think we can safely mark this one down as 1-0 for India.

Where to now for Australia? I'd look at bringing in Clark and Bollinger for Siddle and White, fitness permitting.

White's bowled far better than expected but I don't think the plan is working out. I'm not usually one to advocate wholesale changes mid-series, but Australia's attack has been simply dismal so far, aside from Johnson.
I think the big problem is that Lee and Clark combo is still to click in India, and that has been the biggest reason behind the Aussie bowling looking so awful, if they click then the rest of the attack too would start looking better, but if they don't then Bollinger won't be able to do much either.

The real problem through in this game has been batting, in the first innings batsmen were ultra-defensive and then in the second innings they were ultra-aggressive, so they need to fix that area of their game more than anything else, its a placid track and there is no explanation for the way the Australian batting folded in both innings, yeah the bowling from India has been good but it hasn't been unplayable or anything, with a bit more of application atleast a draw could have been salvaged out of this game.

Absolutely abysmal and completely predictable

No doubt we'll hear the usual bs about how it's just one bad game, we're still world champs blah blah blah

Without taking anything away from India (who have been thoroughly professional), just how the hell does that explain being 5 wickets down for nothing on a friggin' road where ONE ball has done anything other than gone gun-barrel straight

Sure, Hayden got another shocker and Ponting was unlucky to get the only ball of the match that actually did anything but Aus has been clueless and looking as though they didnt want to be there since ball one of day 2

Hey, but at least here is a silver lining - Symo is not there so morale will be good and the team will be all present at the after match presentation 8-)

Disagree, Misrah, Sharma and Harby have all shown that there's enough in this pitch if you're good enough. Our batting has been bad - Watto and Hussey in the first dig aside, but our bowling simply hasn't been good enough. Lee's having a crappy tour so far, and perhaps this match will finally stop Clark being so criminally UNDERrated. Johnno has impressed then disappointed in patches. And White has done better than expected, but still not done enough to justify his selection as a bowler. Siddle's done ok for a guy on debut, and might suffer unfairly when Clark comes back and he makes way and is then associated with Australia's worst test defeat in donkey's years. But I can't see Bollinger or any of the other fringe players doing much to revitalise our bowling unless our yawning gap in the spin department is addressed and the Clark-Lee axis gets going again.

At a loss for constructive suggestions as to do anything with the spin department with the cattle available, and we don't have the quicks who will be successful on these types of pitch with a five quick approach IMO.

I hope you meant Clarke. This match has done more than anything to demonstrate how vital Stuart Clark is.

Are you the president of the Andrew Symonds Fan Club? IMO I doubt he would made any difference.

Haddin is showing tremendous temperament with all his ugly swipes across the stumps, isn't he?!?

Probably not, difficult to say though, the entire dynamic of the whole series would've changed. For one thing they wouldn't have been so negative in their first innings in both matches, and their fielding would've been better. But on the other hand Watson has been one of their best players, and isn't a slouch in the field himself.

WRT to morale, i think i'd find having Symonds in my team would give a massive lift. He's ultra-aggressive, an incredible fielder (always perks up team mates) and when his batting fires its disheartening to the opposition. It's fair enough laying down the law and saying that he can't just get away with missing team meetings, but there's no way leaving out Symmo improves the team mood on the pitch.

Also, Mishra kicks major ass.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
After all the talk about Michael Clarke's batting, this is a perfect situation for him to try and rectify that.
