That pitch was was not as good for batting as this one - tough to bowl on but batting would be different. That one was slow and tended to have uneven bounce. This one is pretty straight-forward really. The ball gets up high enough and at a proper pace for batsmen to get proper strokes off and the bounce is predictable.Did u watch the game? Hardly anything in it for the 1st two days in Bengaluru.

Hmm I disagree with that somewhat. I think the Australian batting these days tends to be a tad more conservative knowing they don't have Warne and McGrath to get them out of trouble if things go wrong. Think you'll see Australia play a pretty watchful innings tomorrow and just try and accumulate the runs. That pitch was was not as good for batting as this one - tough to bowl on but batting would be different. In that first test Australia's 1st innings was the most that anyone was going to get. In this one, as it is going, I am willing to bet Australia will score more - a higher RR.
Yep and Australia, with a lower run-rate, scored more than India are looking like scoring on a better pitch (fair bit better too). What's the point of scoring fast if it just means you arrive at a sub-300 score quicker? Not when you are down 4 wickets. Better than 2.95 that Australia averaged on the first day of Bengaluru on a similar pitch.
It works in Ponting's favor if he is losing concentration.Hehe, Ponting surely dont like this stop the play. Ok, enough of celebrations, these crackers are going to disturb his concentration.
