***Official*** Australia A and New Zealand A in India

It's good to see the bowlers share the wickets, but Amit Mishra overstepped too many times and Yusuf Pathan was strangely underbowled. Amit Mishra is having a decent match, 23 quick runs followed by two top-order wickets and a run-out. He'll have to watch his step to make a Test debut and ODI comeback. A five-wicket haul could see him in an India uniform sooner than later. Mohnish Parmar continues his impressive run, but I wonder, has nobody thought of calling him for throwing?

Would have thought Hay would have come in at 5. 230 ain't too bad of a total then again without Mason & Boult's runs it would have been a bit less. For some reason I get a feeling that India 'A' are going to put on a big 2nd innings total, hopefully not though ha

Well...India piled on the runs today.

Vijay hit 57, but the main contributor was Raina with 146 off 130 balls! 10 fours and 8 sixes!!!

Crickey!

336 all out in India's second dig.

Best bowlers for NZ were Arnel 4/38 (cleaned up the tail), Boult a very tidy 2/34, got both openers, McCullum 2/118, Redmond 2/92 (went at 7.66 RPO though).

Big chase for NZ A...unlikely they will get there with just over a day to go but it would be nice to see individuals perform. Mainly Hay, Redmond and Fulton. Though I do have a soft spot for Watling and Broom.

NZ finish the 3rd day on 41/1. Watling the man out for 6, LBW Parmar.

A shame, I really rate Watling highly. He will likely be replaced by Guptill for the 2nd test, which isn't so bad, I rate Guptill higher.

Redmond at the crease on 25*, Fulton with him on 7. Hopefully this time the batting can step up and atleast get close! Will be tough against some high class spinners though.

India A win by 129 runs. Ashok Dinda takes five wickets, but oversteps once too often. Mishra gets three wickets, making it five for a match, and looks in decent touch while in the running for a Test cap, but he too has bowled a few no-balls. Strangely, Yusuf Pathan didn't get a bowl again. It has been a good match for Raina, who smashed four sixes in an over in his century, as well as Ashok Dinda and Amit Mishra, and also Mohnish Parmar.

Mason is a very good and underrated bowler, his FC career is superb. Boult is only 19, but i'd suggest has more going for him than Dinda, and i'd be surprised if you had ever seen Arnel bowl in your life.

I have seen only Mason bowl in the odi tri-series before this and he was cannon fodder tbh.I would say Dinda is the better bowler between the two.Boult has just made his debut,i think. And yeah you're right about menot having seen Arnel.Though he only cleared up the tail in this match..i don't know, from what I gather Boult or Arnel might be your best bowlers.
Also,i doubt you have seen Dinda bowl anywhere other than IPL,so is it because of his performancesthere that you are basing your statements on?Its not like he got all his batsmen caught near the boundary or anything...so no Dinda, can't be rubbish if you classify NZ A as "very good" etc.

You are basing your statements on how good Mason is on one ODI tri-series, but i'm not allowed to base my statements on Dinda from him playing in the IPL?

That's a bit hypocritical don't you think?

I took out the whole 20/20 aspect of the IPL and solely looked at Dinda as a bowler, and he didn't impress me. His FC record tends to suggest what I originally thought.

Also, I wouldn't classify the NZ bowlers as "very good", where did I say that?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Not really. Mason impressed me the few times I've seen him bowl. He should be ahead of O'Brien in the pecking order at least.

Only in one day cricket.
O'Brien hasn't done a lot to suggest he is a better option than Mason in test cricket. His efforts in England were decent, but they were definitely not enough for me to be convinced.
