On a more serious note....who guessed that HHH would be HBK's mystery partner? What a load of balls, granted that Michaels needed to look strong tonight...and at least Jericho himself didn't get a beat down or take a fall, but sounds like DX totally pwned Cade....also shocking that the ME only lasted 4mins and was ended via DQ due to HBK being double teamed.

Other thoughts....Burchill jobbing to Noble once again, surely we won't see him on TV many more times now...

Have been getting a stupid number of matches ending in DQ or the ref simply stopping the match for some reason recently....remember when JBL squashed Noble a few weeks ago, the ref counted to 2 and then decided that the match had to be called off....I mean FFS...would it really have killed you to just count once more to get to 3 and end the match that way?

Yet to see the SD! spoilers but hoping it's better.

Loved/hated it when he had that cage match with Carlito on RAW whenver that was, just beat the **** out of him for the entire match. Think he must have been ramming his head into the side of the cage for about the 20th time and the crowd just went silent....

Then suddenly JR babbles something about the crowd being so appalled at the destruction of Carlito that they have ceased all noise, what a joke.

Haha yeah, would love to see someone else break kayfabe and shoot on him live on air, no doubt they would get fired instantly. Ironic really that he of all people is breaking kayfabe to shoot on other people, as if someone else ever wanted to do the same thing to him they would have pretty much unlimited ammo to do so with.

Shawn Michaels and HHH beat Chris Jericho and Lance Cade via DQ. Despite HHH being terribly predictable as the partner, Michael Cole was shocked by this development. He was in baffled amazement, like it was Bruno Sammartino who would be teaming with Michaels. Cole then labeled Michaels the inventor of the ladder match. Somewhere Bret Hart rolled over in his grave.

Made me chuckle a bit. Going back to severely disliking Cole these days. RAW isn't the same without JR.

I used to really like Michael Cole back in the days between 99-01, thought he and Tazz were a really great duo on Smackdown, but since then he's been a bit crap, and has always made stupid mistakes.

Yeah, the fact that COle actually appeared to be near tears made it kind of disturbing, though what's more worrying for me was the fact that the E actually thought this angle/skit would be a good idea and was appropriate to go out on TV, esspecially seeing as Smackdown is the show that all the young kids tend to watch. Reminds me of the HHH (him again ffs) - Katie Vick promo, my god that was stupidly hilariously terrible.

Remember the Billy and Chucky wedding? Highest rated segment in RAW history apparently. The whole thing is on youtube somewhere. One of the lowest points WWE has reached.

**** me, never realised it was rated so highly tbh, always irked me that they gave them such a stupid gimmick, but yet put them over really strongly as serious wrestlers....I mean they won the tag team title match at Wrestlemania 18 ffs, and at that stage they were probably still the second most important championships in the entire company.

Just read somewhere TNA incorporated Jeff Jarett's wife's death in to one of their storyline to give Kurt Angle heat and Jarett fans sympathy.

Maybe they decided that they had to adopt the WWE approach to storylines to truly compete. Though imo this is not as bad as the Eddie Death storyline. At least it's sort of legit, i.e. Jarret himself must be really beat up about this, and it's not like they're bismirching her name like the E did with Eddie.

Remember Orton's infamous promo on it, "Eddies not in heaven Rey Rey, he's down in HELL!".

Looks like Smackdown! this week was pretty good. From what I can tell it looks like there were plenty of decent matches here....

Pleased that Jericho did not take the fall in the ME again, very important.
