Norwood's on Fire
Suppose they'll go for a 16 teams qualifying from 6 groups of 4 as in the world cups from 86-94. Wasn't a fan in truth.
Yeah, bit ****e wasn't it? Why the **** should a team who finishes 3rd in a group of 4 advance?

Could always do four groups of six and dive straight into semis, would mean sides playing as many games to win it as they do the WC though

They could do something like 8 groups of 3 too which makes more sense. Although I expect they'll stick to groups of 4 because that doesn't. The best nth place finishers are particularly horrible. The trouble with groups of 3 is two teams gain an advantage by knowing what result will get them through.

Christ alive, hahaha.

The supply of comedy coming out of Newcastle continues.

EDIT: Oh and up the Everton, oh how I'd love it if they win. If they can't lose to us, for comedy value them losing to Everton is next best.

Scouse derby about to kick off. Curly perms, 'taches & shell suits as far as the eye can see.

Divided loyalties in Clapo's, er, well, mind I suppose. Suspect he'll take yer Toffos this time because of the Cahill-factor.

Score draw for mine.

Torres! Gun

Think I said a while back, that over the last 12 months or so, I've found myself to be following Liverpool closer than I have Everton. With both Kewell & Cahill hardly playing during that time, followed the Reds closer, mainly because of Torres, and the rest of their Spanish contingent.

So yeah, would prefer to see Liverpool win, if for no other reason than because of the title race. Hoping Cahill can snare a goal though (y)

Liverpool are looking okay, but Everton have been very poor, to be fair.

Torres finally knocking in a couple means my fantasy team shouldn't be quite as pathetic as normal.

Don't often agree with Andy Gray but Mike Riley has made a complete pigs ear of Liverpool Everton game. He has blown the whistle every time for the slightest body contact someone should tell him it's not basketball.

goal.com commentary suggests he's being a little heavy-handed.

39°Ohh that's really harsh, as Xabi Alonso receives a yellow card, following a weak challenge on Arteta. It wasn't even a free kick for mind, let alone a yellow card.
