Xavier Marshall - Drugs Scandal

If a substance is banned by the govorning body of the sport you're playing in, it's not really that much to expect to know the rules.

"Everyone does it where I come from" is not an excuse. Whether marjuana is banned with good reason or not is a different question, but once it's banned you abide by the rules or you get out, it's as simple as that.

yea yea, i know. But weed smoking is so part of the jamaican culture, that i hope they can reason with him a bit.

Surprised they didn't find anything on his fellow Jamaican compatriots TBH.

No, that's true of course. It's dumb to take something that is on the banned substances list, especially if you take it knowingly, and for recreational purposes rather than accidentally as part of a medical treatment or something.

It's still silly that it's on the banned substances list, but that doesn't alter the fact that it is.

When you become a professional sportsmen you have to accept you will have to make sacrifices in your personal life.

If you cant do that then you dont deserve to be there imo. Plenty of people would love to have his talent and position and would gladly sacrifice a whole lot more. Its also why i get so annoyed at overweight cricketers. There really is no excuse for it and you dont deserve any success for it

BTW what the hell is going on with Kartel & Movado again, dammmm thats madness. but i'm loving it..

Nobody is burning anything until they have tried Swazi Super-Skunk.. That probably should be banned tbh, as he'd still be on cloud nine three tours later..

That's not true tbh, and to suggest that the rest of his team mates are also into taking drugs is a ridiculous accusation tbh.

Just to return to this - does anyone seriously rate Xavier Marshall's batting, at all? He's played 21 ODIs against ODI-standard teams to date and made double-figures just 7 times. So in 2\3 of his innings', he's been out in single-figures.

It obviously can't get a great deal worse than this but dead-set, this must be the worst first-21 ODIs anyone has ever racked-up, surely?

Not Terrible
I would say yes I do rate him as a batsman and he is clearly a great talent but he is clearly not ready for this level mentally and doesn't look like he wants to be out there at all.

Hmm. I think he's more aesthetically good than obviously talented tbh. Can play the most fantastic drives off the back foot but doesn't look solid. About as good a prospect with the bat as Stuart Broad imo.

Just a guy who has been exposed way too early on how he appears, without the ability to build an innings.
