Nah this is the Carrick of Tottenham you are talking about son, Carrick of United is by no means boring. Kindly lets end this foolish Carrick bashing..

Carrick better going forward & better much better passing game. But just solid defensively so Carrick > Butt for me.

I don't even know where to start.

Careful or we'll start calling you scouse. Surely us fans of real football need to stick together and focus on baiting Man U?

Am busy planning my next away day - September 27 at Macclesfield. Anyone been to Moss Rose?

Haha, i'm sure they wouldn't either, but then again, that doesn't matter.
It does since along with Appiah, is Ghana's mid-field engine combining physical strenght with a solid passing game. At Chelsea well obviously given Makelele was there & his versatility he was played almost everywhere expect in goal, striker or left-back.

Okay, okay, fair point. You'll notice I put exeter in the list for you though :p

I've been to Macclesfield, funnily enough. LDV game on the last Tuesday in November, four years ago. We won 1-0. ****ty little ground, but has terraces for away fans, which is all I want really. Open end though, so take an umbrella or something

Like to see an example of a Ghana match for which this was true that didn't take place at the world cup please.

Where Essien played is not at all salient to a discussion on his passing ability. And asking someones team mate if they think he can pass a ball does not constitute an accurate reflection of it either. After all, nobody worth their salt when quizzed about a team mate would say "nah, he's crap".

Our away end was severely underused on Saturday. I counted 40 odd who had made the trip from my position at the opposite end, official count was 46. Heard that only 4 Eastbourne fans decided against making the trip up to Mansfield.

Mate of mine wound up on a night out with Iain Hume just before he left Tranmere. He quizzed him on everything, and then said "what do you think of Sam Aiston?"

Hume paused, and then said, "I don't want to slag off a team-mate. No comment."

He also said that he was only the fourth best striker in the division at this time when my mate was trying to persuade him he was #1. Can't remember who he listed above him except for Steve Brooker (I think that's right). Actually though, Greenacre was playing for us by then so...

The first season of the MK Dons (ie when they actually changed their name from Wimbledon) they brought about that many to PP. Think they've attained a fair following since, *****.

Was sat in the pub with one who was overjoyed about them winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy or something or other, refused to take notice. Such sellouts.

Highlight of the Conference years was when Leigh RMI brought six to St James to watch a five-goal stuffing.

It's best not to tbh, you'll only encourage him.
Think I'll bite just this once.

come on, give it shot i know you can comprehend..
First statement: I was talking about Ferdinand's passing, not Carrick's. If you'd even bothered to look at what I quoted, you'd realize that. One would also think the fact that I had said "defender" would make it clear, but it seems Carrick's so awesome he can also play defence now.

Second statement: I've realized that sarcasm isn't very handy over the internet. I was poking fun at the fact that Butt was on the stats list way more Carrick, and drew a conclusion that everyone over at our friendly CC section would make.

Comprende?

The only time I have ever ran on any pitch was there (Milton Keynes, replying to Mitchell about 7 posts ago), we scored last minute to stay up

You would though, wouldn't you, piece of piss to run on

Unfortunately, I slipped over as I was running on. There were, what, 200 Tranmere fans running on, I fell over which left me behind them all. Steward got me, nice and easy, rugby tackled me back over the advertising hoardings. Made it on to Soccer AM, couldn't walk for a week.
