He's not worth how much Man Utd paid fo rhim but is he pretty good? Yes. Best passer of the ball in England I think.

Stuart Barlow ffs, at least he can't be offside in this lazy ****

Seems Oldham lost to Citeh in the final of the NW masters, we had a decent side out with legends such as Ritchie, Holden, Milligan, proper masters, not the 'retired last year, was ****, but still got the fitness' that are really needed to win the thing.

Funny the amount of players in it as well that are playing for other teams but could have played for Latics

In all seriousness, when Carrick isn't playing, United seem to be a much worse team. He makes a fair amount of longer passes, too - generally the flatter and more forward through-ball kind than Scholes' long drifty passes to the lone man at the other side of the pitch, but he still does well. Never seen him do anything incredible but rarely see him screw up in comparison to other midfielders.

You don't know what you're on about. I assume you're basing this on the fact that Carrick doesn't seem to be doing much on the field?
"Not seeming to be doing much" is not usually an indicator of immense footballing talent. Carrick's not good enough for Man Utd. If he was a man of his word then he would have joined Pompey instead of Spurs, and where would he be now if that had happened? He wouldn't be an £18million Man Utd midfielder, I guarantee you. You lot don't need him.

LOL @ this, frankly. Dropping Rooney from the side would be insanity. Capello's already stated an intention to build the team around him. You'd replace him with whom, Heskey? Crouch? Ashton? Owen?
This is the problem, as I tried to illustrate by picking a team earlier. Both Rooney and Gerrard are probably massively over-rated and they've been largely piss-poor for England over the last couple of years. Yet depressingly there seems to be little other options. Defoe and Lampard were piss-poor against Andorra. Barrys gone backward this season. I would play Joe in rooneys position and put Owen up front, but with no particular belief that it would do any good, tbh.
