Lolin' at the Villa and Gomez rumours. Would froth so much if I saw Villa and Berbatov in the same team.

Was just about to post that wtf is he thinking playing golf when eh should be attempting to get transfers for us no wonder Corluka left...
No matter how much CM or FM may make you believe it's an accurate representation of the football world, the manager isn't that involved in transfer dealings.

14.27 Mark Hughes has confirmed to Sky Sports News that Manchester City have had a bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov accepted, and he now hopes to meet the striker to discuss a shock move to Eastlands.
Lol okay, then. So much for the Champions League football he wanted.

WRT Torres, he is over-rated IMO. His record at Atletico was decent given he wasn't playing in a great side, but it was hardly awe-inspiring. Plenty of strikers have scored that weight of goals in a mediocre side before. He's scored a lot of goals since moving to a big side, but again, given that he's now playing in a so-called elite side, his scoring record, whilst very good indeed, is not all-time stuff. Add to this that his international record is mediocre and you have a very good but over-hyped goalscorer.

FWIW, I personally don't think Torres will have anywhere near as good a season as he had last season, we shall see.

Citeh equals the next West Ham. Will last for five minutes max. Spend all their money and still have holes all over the place and then the billionaires pull out. When they can't win anything.

1450: The latest Man City chat - boss Mark Hughes will discuss personal terms with Dimitar Berbatov when he has finished his round of golf. Has the world gone mad?
Hurry up Mark

1452: Less than 10 hours to go.
"Sorry to burst the bubble of Man City fans but they're not going to get David Villa, he just signed a contract extension at Valencia when he had the chance to go to Real Madrid."

No. Referring to the point that Torres wouldn't be so highly rated if we weren't playing for Liverpool.
So you don't accept the opinion that some Liverpool (amongst other teams, including some Man United) fans have a history of seriously overating some of their players?

Most goals in a debut EPL season is an all-time record tbf (wasn't it?). It wasn't like all his goals were just tap ins either.

Except that City have a strong (top 6, imo) squad before the billionaires came in, whereas West Ham had **** all over the place. Only position we lack a real quality player is LB, and Garrido is pretty good imo.

Urgh, another Chelsea? Would hate that. City were doing so well without spending above the odds, always had a soft spot for them. Will probably finally become a bit more of a 'true' United fan should they spend left right and center ala Abromovich. But that's modern football, I s'pose.
