UAE has played well today. Both Zahid Shah and Khurram Khan were impressive. If the players improve their fielding, UAE should be able to challenge any of the top associate teams.

Yup...UAE fielding was one of the worst seen in recent times... They should improve their fieling a lot by 2009 WCQ. If they do, their batting line up can challenge Ireland, Kenya & even Bangladesh...

Wat could be Zimbabwe's future? Sad to see so much history coming to an end...

Remember the legends:

1) Flower Brothers
2) H.Streak
3) A.Cambell
Many More... Wat a waste of efforts...

UAE has made a note through the tournament. Played better then few Associates which qualified for the 2007 World Cup... Can't wait for the 2009 WCQs.

Dont u guys think the 2009 WCQs could be the best & most competitive then the previous ones???? Would Love to support one of the Asian Sides along with Ireland & Kenya.

CRICKET: Pakistan cricketers overcome Canada in Ismaili games

Story by RICHARD MWANGI
Publication Date: 6/27/2008
Pakistan proved too strong for Canada whom they beat by nine wickets in the ongoing Golden Jubilee Ismaili Sports Festival at the Simba Union on Friday.

Moosa Nizal top scored for Canada with 54 runs but lacked support from the other batsmen who were dismissed cheaply by Pakistani bowlers. Nizal and Keshvan Shaheed were the only Canadian batsmen who managed to get double digit scores.

Batting first after winning the toss, Canada were all out for a paltry 107 in their allotted 20 overs.

Amir Ali was Pakistan’s highest wicket taker with two for 17 and was supported by Rahim Salim with one for 11 and Sayani Rahil with one for 14.

In reply Pakistan were home and dry for the loss of one wicket and 46 balls on hand.

Mansoor Javed gave Pakistan a flying start with an unbeaten 74. He shared an opening stand of 58 with Kamuludin Shezal (15) and a winning second wicket partnership of 53 with Rahim Salim (9 not out).

At Nairobi Gymkhana, USA Red (159 for 5 in 20 overs) beat Portugal (130 all out in 19 overs) by 29 runs in a one sided match.

Ali Akber shared the honours of being the highest scorers for USA with Amirali Hassan with 43 runs a piece. Akber also clicked with the ball taking two wickets for 19, Salim Lakhani got two for 27.

Nordin Bhat was the most economical bowler with one wicket for two runs conceded. Akber and Hassan shared a fourth wicket stand of 58 which was the best for the side. USA Red followed the footsteps of their second side, USA Blue (131 for 2 in 15.5 overs)to beat India (130 for 9 in 20 overs) by eight wickets at the Ruraka Sports Club.

United Kingdom (89 for 6 in 16.5 overs) beat Afghanstan (88 all out in 17 overs) by four wickets at Simba Union Club and at the Nairobi Jaffreys Kenya A (121 for 6) beat Uganda (117 all out) by six wickets while Kenya B (113 for 8) lost to UAE (204 for 8) by 91 runs.

The games continue on Friday at Nairobi Gymkhana, Ruraka Sports Club, Simba Union and Nairobi Jaffreys.

Argentina is in South America. Though it be nice if Standford gets a USA teams represented by real americans, not passport holders, in there. After all it is here that he became a millionaire.
