If you really believe that, I wonder why you watch the game TBH.This whole spirit of cricket is bollocks.
Point is the laws and the spirit should be intertwined. But occasionally there's a loophole. If it's legal, then by all means, go ahead and do it.
Well that isn't legal.purposeful collisions for a chance of a run out, here we come....
For the game. Spirit has nothing to do with it. There is a saying in US sports, which is only partially tongue in cheek: 'If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.' And this is not even cheating - England did what was completely within their rights to win the game. Good for them. If cricket does not want this to happen, why not make it illegal to appeal for run outs in a collision? If and until that happens, England did nothing wrong. If you really believe that, I wonder why you watch the game TBH.
Doubt it, no different to Napier.Would anyone be happy with a tie here?
You can't prove it, and people can get pretty good at making it look accidental...Well that isn't legal.
Yeah completely agree - come on Mills whack another boundry.I am embarrassed to be an England fan right now. There is no way in hell we should have taken the bails off or appealed there. That is disgraceful.
Come on NZ.
Cricket isn't a US sport. For the game. Spirit has nothing to do with it. There is a saying in US sports
Haha, a bit extreme. I'm not against the premise of "the spirit of cricket" but it's not the reason I watch it.If you really believe that, I wonder why you watch the game TBH.
Would break the tension, tbh.Wright to bowl six underarm deliveries to Mills now.
There's a difference between taking advantage of the rules and deliberately breaking them though. You can't prove it, and people can get pretty good at making it look accidental...
Unfortunately not. We'd get rid of a lot of BS if it were.Cricket isn't a US sport.
If you can get away with it.......There's a difference between taking advantage of the rules and deliberately breaking them though.
No, but if you don't believe in it I never see the point watching the game. Fairness is everything IMO.Haha, a bit extreme. I'm not against the premise of "the spirit of cricket" but it's not the reason I watch it.
