Exactly. As a QLDer I would welcome the selection of Grothe.

He didn't even make City/Country [not that means everything] but there would about half a dozen players I would pick ahead of him.

If Tate is going to be in the QLD team, it can't be anywhere bar on the wing afaic. Would put Falou into the Centres, and play one of Slater/Hunt on the wing. As for NSW, they'd be doing QLD a favour playing Grothe on the wing. Lyon in for Gas, and Monaghan for Hayne for mine.

Somehow Newcastle have gone from 16-6 down to 16-16 in four minutes. Their last try came from two forward passes, one at least a half meter forward.

Out of interest did you think Cutherbertson's swinging arm was a sending off offence? I've seen those on report quite a few times in the past.

No probably not, send off's are so rare these days they really have to be bad to go. Cuthbertson's was worse than O'Donnell but neither should have been sent.

Considering a player can get placed on report for taking out a player without the ball (even if there is nothing in it), nothing is surprising now tbh.
