Hadlee was a wild quick that became more steady and controlled.
Southee or Broad doing the same would make them medium pace. They both (Broad especially) have to add pace not take it off like Hadlee did.

Not really. It's far more likely Hadlee learned through something else.Richard Hadlee's debut + early test bowling innings stats... interesting read... goes to show how much you learn through wicketless spells.

Bit OTT there, Rhodes is possibly the greatest fielder ever. But that stop was Rhodes-worthy. Terrific stuff.
We've had odd games where we've been brilliant in the field many times before, and here (Vaughan and MSP aside as inevitably) has been another. I won't hope it'll be anything long-term for a while yet, but we've had a fielding coach appointed recently and hopefully that might help it be so.
