*Official* English Football Season 2007-08

Don't agree with this.

I'm not overly happy as a United fan, an away goal would have been nice, but Barcelona have still failed to take advantage of their home advantage.
Man U didn't take advantage of their away advantage. If Barca do in the 2nd leg, United will be in trouble.

Tonight wasn't the fast paced united that we have been seeing in the premiership this season. The fact that they allowed IMO Barcelona so much possession tells me maybe it was a plan to play this way since even though Barca weren't playing brilliantly this season they were afraid of the threat of Eto'o, Henry & Messi up front.

But Barca didn't take advantage of their home advantage & United defended well so i expect a very open game next week. My god its do or die now i must get tickets..

Who is surprised?
I am. Expected Utd to be slightly defensive but when they attacked it was poor. Ronaldo was the only attacking player who could be pleased with his performance. Rest were poor in decisions and passing. Really just gave possession away quite easily. Surprised at that.

Yeah, interesting that last night's game, which, let's be honest we'd have expected to be a snoozefest, seems to have been a lot more entertaining than tonight's game, involving two exciting sides.

Standing by Barca-Liverpool final. Torres to nick one for the scousers, Barca to get a 2-2 at OT

You know watching Man U recently is only amusing for one reason. The fact that the ginger ninja is really crap nowadays.

Hope fergie persists with him, tbh.:)

Were you watching the same game as me?
Tbh, I wasn't watching it that much, didn't seem to do too much from what I saw. Dropped off a lot which seemed to slow the momentum of attacks.

I wasn't paying that much attention, I do feel a bit unpatriotic desperately wanting the Spanish team to win:shy:

Scholes the best United player on the field by far tonight. So many tackles and interceptions.
Ridiculous where Rooney was played and to have Park on the field before Anderson, pfft managers these days.

Oooooh, I know when to back out of an argument when I'm clearly wrong.

'tis a game of opinions Brian, and mine seems to be wrong, not the first time, certainly won't be the last:)

Park did well if his role was to play as the second left back.

Disagree with this, too, IMO one of our best players tonight.

EDIT: Though, yes, he had a poor couple of games immediately prior to tonight, but returned to form IMO.

As I say, I didn't really watch, but the sky blokes were really signing his praises

Right, let's move on...Saturday's game is big, though not as big as it would have been but for Tevez's late goal. Predictions? Hope Chelsea win, if for the hope of the best title race since 99
