steady only one poor game.. like dhonipontings going poorly, this has been going on for a while now. i really hope he will go up a gear soon.
The tournie will gain momentum as it gets to the business end of the season and finals spots are up for grabs. A lot like any league in any sport, but I've been encouraged by the quality of the cricket and the standard and intensity of the players. If they get the pitches right we'll get a lot of gun games going.Overall the tournament has been ok so far, the novelty of the best playing with the best wore off after the first game and I do get a bit bored during most games, though it's still nice to have cricket on FTA, even though it's delayed, so I can't complain that much.
Has the ICL died yet? I want our players back. The tournie will gain momentum as it gets to the business end of the season and finals spots are up for grabs. As far as novelty factor goes, it might wear off overseas but in India everyone I've spoken to in the neighbourhood and at work love it and can't wait for more. India was made for this type of cricket and it wouldn't surprise in a couple of seasons time if Indian fans didn't live and breathe for their IPL team like the Premiership football fans do.
If the ICL is anything to go by, the popularity, standards and crowds all increased during the second installment, and the early TV ratings seem to suggest this weekend was massive for the IPL.
Hilariously enough, the ratings and crowds apparently went up for it. The IPL does make it look ridiculously B-grade so that might kill it sooner or later.Has the ICL died yet? I want our players back.

Have they signed Ryder up for The Biggest Loser yet?Guys, just saw Ross Taylor bat for the Bangalores - has he got weight issues? He looks like he needs a few more pies. Indian food not suiting his tastes?
Also heard Jesse Ryder is losing some crazy weight as well. But he needs to lose weight.
Would rather they had one big tournament TBH. There's a few in the ICL that are capable of top level cricket. Some probably should still be in the mix for their national sides.Hilariously enough, the ratings and crowds apparently went up for it. The IPL does make it look ridiculously B-grade so that might kill it sooner or later.
Hope it'll soon.Has the ICL died yet? I want our players back.
Badrinath plays for Chennai.Badrinath's innings at the death for Punjab was very impressive as well. Looks the goods.
