I blame myself actually.

Yesterday, I woke up at 6.30 to watch the cricket. Just ate breakfast and lied on the couch until the lunch break.

But when I got my Japanese textbook and started to study that's when the wickets started to fall.

I will never study Japanese when watching us bat again.

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol, don't blame yourself for the fact the NZ test batting lineup is rubbish

Elliott is New Zealand's answer to Mark Ealham.

Rubbish bits and pieces player. Never to play for NZ again. Unless he scores a century with bat in hand.
Ealham wasn't a rubbish bits-and-pieces player, though - he was a bowler who could bat a bit. At Test level he was a decidedly below-par bowler, but at ODI level he was only just short of top-drawer.

Elliott can only dream of being able to bowl as well as Ealham, but I'd guess he's probably a better batsman.

Fell asleep at the lunch break. Normally things go well when I don't watch. :@

Agreed, Ealtham was a fine limited over bowler. Had much more control than Elliot's ever going to have

Well done Strauss, well done Bell. Two tons are never to be sniffed at.

The pitch looks dead, no spin. Honestly wouldn't declare until 550 was the lead, even then I'd be doubtful.

Surely the Kiwi's can't bat as badly again, and we've only got two pace bowlers worth the name. I do not even think Colly can bowl with his calf.

The Barmy Army has been the best entertainment after the England side this test match for mine. Love their Dan Vettori song they are singing now.

Neither Bell nor Sinclair are likely to reach double figures...I don't see us getting more than 300.

Series win to England, as most were expecting.

But I think a 3-0 thrashing would be less painful for a NZ supporter than this.

Daryl Harper once more demonstrates his ability to make shocking decisions as Bell inside-edges one onto his pads (would've been plumb lbw otherwise) and gets a couple to leg. Harper turns down the lbw appeal, but gives leg-byes.

And there's Tea.

England should declare now.
The lead is more than enough.

Lets get this awful game over with.
 I'm sure you would like them to. If they are smart they will keep batting for at least 1 hour into tomorrow, leaving NZ 5 sessions and absolutely no chance

Some great footage of an early Fleming innings in a Shell Cup game just then on the Dilmah Tea Party.

Daym, would've loved to've seen that.

Anyway, think I'll be off to bed. 'Night all, hope Strauss and Bell kick-on in the last session (*cue both hitting one straight up after the break*)

Dear oh dear, oh ****ing dear!!

The cloud is forecast to return tomorrow. Just in time for Sidebottom to bowl and NZ to bat.

What have I done to deserve this!!!!

Pfft, wouldn't make any difference chasing 500+ whether is sunny or overcast. A solid 2 days of rain is the only thing that could save NZ now

Ha ha, one comentator saying he would be a useful squad member. 'A useful bits and pieces player'. **** off you nitwit!!! There is no such thing as a useful bits and pieces player FFS!!!! Idiot.

NZ to be chasing 600+ in the second innings.

****ing dire, **** performance by the batsmen. Should all be hung and quartered, except for How and Fleming. **** 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elliot reminds me of Justin Vaughan - a stop-gap measure whose batting and bowling abilities are equal in their mediocrity.
