Lee seems like a nice guy, but he has previous - and they always seem to come just as a pivotal moment in the game comes up.

I'd hate to think he's doing it on purpose, but I do enjoy my conspiracies.
Fast-bowlers can accidentally bowl beamers, because at the kind of pace they bowl, sometimes the ball can slip through the fingers, but Lee would never do something like that intentionally, he is the only genuine quick bowler over the years who has been able to stay fit and hence play more matches as compared to the other fast-bowlers around the world, due to this he is just more prone to bowl these beamers.

Great result for India - the most comfortable victory I've seen for India against Australia in a long time.

Haha, I'm confident Lee didn't do it on purpose and the bit about fast bowlers is fine but the highlighted argument is just terrible. Some bowlers are more prone to bowling beamers than others but you can't just say it's a matter of playing more matches.

Whatever you cop, it won't be anywhere near as bad as what I got after the 2003 WC Final.
I was in Year 12 at the time so I'd agree with that. Now in my first Engineering job after getting my degree so I'm going to have a happy face at work tomorrow. :)

Yeah I was doing my HSC too. It was a terrible few days. Relentless.

So glad that Sydney got a good game, means it's bound to be a fizzer in Brisbane on Tuesday, a match which I'll be paying to watch. Not fair!

Congrats buddy. Electrical/Mech I presume ?

What a magnificent perfomance by India today, as Dasa pointed out I haven't seen India outplay Australia so easily with the bat. For the first time Australia's bowling looked shambolic and you're definitely in strife if your three quicks don't pick up any wickets.
Superlative partnership between Tendulkar & R. Sharma - got the boundaries and milked all the bowlers comfortably. Tendulkar looked extremely focused today and considering the situation, the opposition, the 2nd dig I reckon it was one of his best ever ODI knocks since Desert Storm.

Rohit batted very well too, those straight drives off Bracken were mouthwatering. One negative was the terrible ground fielding but I think the square was a bit uneven and tricky. Chawla also joins my super impressive list, Australia were watchful but it didn't look like they were picking him very well either. Hope Ishant can burst Hayden's head at the GABBA rather than the blood vessels in his hand..

Thanks mate. Yeah, spot on! My specialisation was in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering. Currently working in the Risk and Reliability Engineering field in the Oil and Gas industry. :)

Agreed with Tendulkar being so focussed. I've never seen him more determined to play the match winning knock like he did today. Nobody can deny his match winning ability. Rohit is a real future talent and a number 4/number 5 test match batsman once Ganguly and Laxman decide to give it up. Has the temprement to be a test match success and play those long innings.

After tonight, I am loathe to make predictions....but what the heck...

Australia will crush India on Tuesday and the lights won't get turned on. lol

I was hoping I could say, after Tuesday, that I saw Gilly's last game...but not to be.

Fantastic from India today though - see what happens when you don't lose early wickets against Australia? You actually give yourself a chance.

That's about the first full ODI I have watched this Summer, and heck it was awesome.

Classy, very very classly. But that's what we've come to expect from the Little Master.

In the words of a mate: "Fack, that Tendulkar is good".

Lee does have a history, but its one of those things that just doesn't fit in with his personality at all. He is one of the nicest guys on and off the field, and its hard trying to bowl at 150kph....so I can believe it slipped out. Some of the other bowlers, I wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt, but Lee gets it in my opinion.

a comfortable victory in the end for Ind .... if I m not wrong then Tendulkar got his Ist 100 in ODIs in OZ and what an occassion to get it on :)

i hope that e1 is fit for the next final .... would like to see Sehwag come in for the next game .... and may be create space of Sree, if the pitch has a touch of green on it

my recommendation for the X1

- Sachin, Uthappa, Gambhir
- Sehwag & Rohit
- Yuvi, Dhoni & Pathan
- Kumar, Chawla & Ishant
