So if symonds calls sharma a the c 4-letter word and he replies with monkey then it cannot be contrued as racism anyway.
But if without provokation he calls him monkey then it can be taken as racism.
As for who started it being childish things, you know that even murder trials are decided on these things?

Ravi shastri saying that sharma did absolutely the right thing And saying that if you get something ,you should give it back twice.
Harsha bhogle also said it was ponring who standong next to daryl harper went and complained to harper.
Thank you Mrs Harbajhan

Hopefully Sharma will look back on this and learn

Giving a guy a send off when you've been smashed everywhere is just plain embarrassing

Thank you,the great knaive daughter of andrew symonds and Scooby doo.

Symonds was the one who started it like the harbhajan incident, and even after such a incident he cannot keep his tongue in check then he deserves to be called anything.

Probably was pissed off that his captain and board want him to tour pakistan and miss out on
$$$$$$$$$$$.

sharma was trying to do his typical celebration ,when mr i cannot keep my tongue in check symonds said something.
after that sharma told him to f off and pointed towards the pavillion.
The indian board has told sreesanth and rest to stay calm and keep their tongue in check but i feel if symonds provokes them they should be free to call symonds a monkey or a orangutan .If symonds cannot kepp his tongue in check so should not the indians.
Symonds has a well-deserved reputation for being an a-hole. We dont need Indian players to be fools like him just because he continues to be one.

Yeah agreed. It's not fair for Australian fans to act all high and mighty and say Ishant should not have given Andrew Symonds that send off. If Ishant was the aggressor than that's a valid point, but when clearly Symonds was not smart enough or decent enough to realise that he didn't need to open his big mouth then Ishant never would've had to do what he did.

Ishant was clearly provoked by Symonds and did what he had to do. There was no racial undertones to it and Symonds shouldn't be somebody who is allowed to abuse opposition players and then cry wolf when gets some of his own medicine given back to him. As an Indian supporter, I was one of the few who were in Symonds' camp but for me he is losing credibility by the day.

India don't have the composure to get anywhere near this target. They'll lose their heads if they get put under a decent amount of pressure.
Yup you are right, Bracken to take a five-for today, i can just feel it.

Looking at it this way,

India chase down big targets quite well because they are positive and aggressive from the outset with a mentality of 'nothing to lose'.

Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag are both due for runs.

Yuvraj has come good lately and got a fantastic 139 last time he played in Sydney against Australia.

Dhoni is batting superbly and we might even see some his explosiveness shine through today.

I know we probably don't have a chance in hell today, but I just thought it's better to look at the glass as half full.

I'm usually an optimist but I've experienced so many let-downs from this Indian team that I'm going to play the role of the 'realist' from now on in. Would love for the lads to prove me wrong though.

Not sure of your point here, but I'll break it down for you:

Symonds says something, Sharma points top the pavilion = good.
Symonds says something, Sharma uses a racial epithet = bad.

Ftr, if Symonds called him the C word I wouldn't mind seeing him dragged in front of a panel himself. That wouldn't give anyone the right to use a racial slur in return though. As it stands, it was all rather normal, heated, passionate cricket (with no indication of anything sinister unless you had different footage). I don't see why anyone would want to bring crap like Sharma should have been able to racially abuse him like you've said here. People need to let go and move on.

Regardless of the youth debate, I reckon Ganguly with Sachin opening would have been perfect for a good start here for India.

Also, once Gilchrist goes, I reckon Hussey should open. He just seems to have lost his bang bang finishing the innings act and I think he'd be more suited at the top where he can build an innings properly. Clarke, Symonds and Haddin can do the rescue act if needed well enough and we should stop trying to turn him into a Bevan, which is wasting him somewhat down the order.

Edit: Tendulkar gone.

Agreed re: Hussey.
