Well he's made it clear that he doesn't want me to refer to him as that. He's fine with quite a few others referring to him as such. In short, then, he can tell me what to call him. So can I also tell him that I don't want him to refer to me as anything other than The Great Esteemed Mr Dickinson?

Thing is, as I've said, there's several things I'd rather be called by than my posting-ID. By-and-large, though, it doesn't bother me in the slightest what anyone refers to me as TBH. I don't really see how you can justify telling someone what they can call you but saying someone else can call you whatever.You can ask him to refer to you as just your username if you want. That's what he's done so please respect that.
It's not a difficult concept really, if a person doesn't want to be called something other than their username and then they politely ask you not to, as can be seen in that link I provided, then you have NO right to use that name in addressing them.
