On chances the Scousers should be ahead. Chelsea have been every bit as poor as United were, good stuff from a le Arse POV. Misplaced passes galore.
Couldn't really have gone much better, tbf. Just have to hope we can take proper advantage against Blackbrun on the morrow.Brumby must be a happy boy tonight
Nah, half-expecting it myself. Rovers actually have a pretty decent record at Highbury in the Prem &, although we tore them a new one in the only New Highbury league meeting so far, they got a draw in the cup & dicked us in the replay. It would be typical of this title race for you lot to **** that up tomorrow, actually
sorry mate

Hahaha, good call re: snoozefest. Went to bed at halfy. This one will be a snoozefeest IMO
Do your mates support citeh as well?
to be honest there are still enough fit players to make a win tonight more than a realistic possibility, as an Arsenal fan, I would expect them to win this game (injuries or not) and will be dissapointed if they dont, mind you, a draw wouldnt be the worst result in the world.Wouldn't be that big a shock, Blackburn are unbeaten for a fair few games, and Arsenal are going to be missing a number of key players.
I've been trying to think of the last time I felt so genuinely let down by a United performance and I honestly can't remember. Considering the occasion, the emotion and what it meant to all of us I just can't believe we failed to turn up like we did. The team selection was baffling, playing just two bona fide CMs against City's five man midfield - we were always going to be over run and that's what happened. Can't understand not starting with at least one of Hargreaves or Carrick as well as Scholes and Anderson.
I can't praise City enough though - from the fans who were just perfect in the minute's silence to the team who flat-out played us off the park. Have Dunne and Richards had an easier day at the office all season? They were first to every ball and seemed to want it so much more. Can't begrudge them an ounce of their success, or their bragging rights today.
Will be hoping for a Blackburn special tonight, but if we're five points behind tomorrow morning, as I expect us to be, there can be no complaints.
Wouldn't blame the team's result on those two alone. Nani has not yet been rated as the be-all and end-all by the press to my knowledge (certainly not praised as a starter ahead of Giggs and Ronaldo) and wouldn't have been in the first XI if Rooney were able to play. Anderson earned the right to play the game, though. He bossed Fabregas in the Arsenal game and how many midfielders in the world are saying that lately? Of course, being picked on form doesn't mean you're going to have a great game.Quite right, especially the 2nd paragraph.
Has Fergie been duped by media reports though? Said at the start of the season Nani and Anderson were for the future, not ones expected to be getting in the team much this year. Yet after high praises in the press, both started possibly the biggest game of the season, with players like Carrick and Hargreaves on the bench. Anderson was shown as unready for that sort of game, and was bossed out of the game by city's 5 man midfield. Poor selection decision by fergie, and it backfired completely.
Agree with this, Anderson was not great yesterday but there were several worse, and he did have excellent games against both le Arse and the Scousers. Even Scholes gave the ball away yesterday, and he never gives the ball away.Wouldn't blame the team's result on those two alone.
