Haha someone please explain to me how Rudi is still an umpire? Heard that edge from here...

Sharma's started off bowling pretty quick...second ball at 149.5. Sreesanth bowling well too. There seems to be a bit in the wicket.

With Hayden moving his guard to off-stump let's see if Sharma can get close to the stumps for an LBW chance every so often.

This MRF pace foundation is doing very well, India really have some great ``potential`` depth in their pace-bowling stocks almost as good as the traditonal pace bowling producing nations as Australia, England & South Africa & the Windies (the real traditional home of the pacemen).

Disappointed with the umpiring on that occasion, was poor TSTL. Interesting to see that Sharma managed to get a delivery up around 150kph, very good signs from the youngster. He's made Hayden change his stance to off-stump and also bat in the crease too, which we don't see too often.

Geez, that's slack from Rudi. Get right in the way of Gambhir's throw.

If Pathan is in the side, he should always open. He is not very good once the ball gets a bit old. This is more true in tests, but even in ODIs, he does well with the new ball.

What a fantastic ball by Ishant there. Man, this kid has some potential. That height alone will mean a ball will do that from time to time.

Ponting gone and that's a big blow for us, India bowling really well so its gonna be important that Roy and Pup stabilize the innings now and build a partnership here.

Yeah, I think the bounce got him as it didn't seem to go either way much. Ponting in a patch of poor form here. Ishant's making him his bunny lately

And I'm going to annoy everyone here by repeating that we need technology. That decision was absolutely dire.
Mate, what else do you expect from Rudi, he has gone into this habit of making lot of dire decisions off-late, so its about time ICC has a serious look at his future as an international umpire.

The problem is way bigger than specific umpires.

We'll end up with no umpires at this rate.

What's up with the Aussie selection today, why drop Hogg and Hopes, Clark is hardly an ideal Odi bowler so picking him ahead of Hogg makes no sense, and having Haddin ahead of Hopes is also not a very bright move because i think Hopes was doing a very good job batting at no.7 and he was filling up very nicely as the 5th bowling option too.

The problem is loud and clear, that we don't have enough umpires on the elite panel, the same individuals are officiating in games around the world without getting much of a break due the packed international schedules, so that has taken its toll on the umpires, they seemed to be drained and that is starting to reflect in their decision making.
EDIT: Clarke is gone, ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are in deep **** now, time for Mr.Cricket to come good and he is due for big one.

Doesn't matter how many umpires you have on the so-called elite panel.
You've got the technology to assist in decision making . Use it !!!!!
