Also the worst commentator in recent history is unarguably Donna Simmonds....

Someone should tell her to stop talking to Ray Warren because she basically does play by play comments....not to mention that annoying voice..ugh.

Heres a sample sentence of what you can expect to endure from a Donna Simmonds 15 minute spell.

Shane Bond bowls the ball, the batsman misses it and...the...New Zealand...wicketkeeper catches it.(didnt know McCullum's name...) That was a good....ball, the batsman missed it completely.(all this in an annoying Jamaican accent) Now Ian, what do you think of the dancers and the music(notice the complete irrelevence to the match)

Heres another classic example

Now Sanjay(whoever commentator was at the time) do you think either of these 2 teams have been practising the bowl out?

THE BOWL OUT FFS.

ie bowling the ball and hitting the stumps.

Another thing about that, Pakistan made a disgrace of themselves. They didnt hit the stumps ONCE in about 4 balls, these are international cricketers who cant hit the bloody stumps.

If one of their 4 top line bowlers in the country cant hit a set of stumps, somethings wrong with them.
Aussie accent ain't so great bub. Watch yourself.

Dump Healy for Langer and SOD for Boycs (somehow, however unlikely he'd be lured out here lol).

I love Boycott's commentary, my favourtie commentary moment of all time was him during the '05 Ashes when McGrath bowled Vaughan with a no-ball. "OUT.....ohhhhhh, no ball.....bad luck.....bad luck you aussies".

International Coach
Richie's losing it a bit. Still great but he's not what he was. My main gripe with him these days is his inability to watch Symonds bat without relating the story of him batting in the 03 WC with Ponting in the Pakistan game. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Word for word. I have it pretty much memorised. "Its funny to think that for a long time Symonds wasn't able to make it in international cricket. He had enormous potential, but wasn't able to turn it into performance. All that changed of course, after he played what I think might be one of the best one-day innings I've ever seen. It was in the 2003 World Cup, and there had been considerable disagreement as to whether Symonds should even be there. Australia had been reduced to 4/87 when Symonds came to the crease to meet his captain Ricky Ponting. And Ponting said something to him which changed Symonds - in the middle of all the hubbub and noise, Ponting took Symonds by the arm, and leant in and said (in a breathy whisper) "Be here at the end". Symonds scored 143*, and Australia won the match. And he's never looked back from that moment." Does my head in. 8/10 regardless.

.
 Brought an audible giggle from me.

I think you will find Aussies don't have accents:dry:
They most certainly do. Obviously ranges in strength, but as an Australian of Anglo-Indian descent who grew up in Melbourne, I am very easily spotted as an Australia whenever I travel, and whenever I lived in Singapore despite my dark complexion.

Richie 6/10 - Still got it, but its almost time for him to go.

Nicholas 3/10 - Prosy windbag with a tongue covered in brown and sticky undies to boot. Saved from a lower score by the fact that he is sometimes quite sound about the game when I am able to get past all the mute button inducing crap he spouts.

Slater 5/10 - Alright I reckon and will get better in time. When he makes an opinion that may be seen as not supportive of the Australian team needs to stand up for it a little bit and not allow himself to get bullied, as he was a couple of times by Healy this summer.

Taylor 7.5/10 - Rate Tubbs tbh. Needs to work on his delivery, but has sound opinions on the game and is not afraid to take a contradictory stand and speak his mind.

Lawry 7/10 - Getting on a bit, if not as far along as Richie. His passion and love for the game still shines through though. And that goes a long way with me.

Greig 5/10 - Dont know what to say about Greigy. Alright about sums it up.

Healy 1/10 - Just plain awful.

Chappell 5/10 - Very opinionated and stubborn but usually sound tactical commentary.

Did not enjoy Channel 9 Commentary for the most part this summer - so far at any rate.

Are you spotted by other Aussies or the locals? I find most people get our accents mixed up with Kiwis, and even English people ( ) when they're not familiar with it. I've met people who can't tell an Aussie accent from Canadian/American/English/Irish. It's mind boggling

Who is MCJ? Nicholas?
Yeah, Mark Charles Jefford Nicholas.

And having just looked-up his profile to check that name, I'm utterly astounded to see he's over 50! If I look like him at 50, I'll be ecstatic.

I hope James Brayshaw gets a full time comm position. I really liked his commentary in the last 20-20 match against NZ. Really likeable and enthusiastic.

Langer was a bit cliched, as someone said before, but he has a very up to date knowledge of the game. Overall he wasn't bad considering it was his first stint.

Hayden on the other hand wasn't as good. Has that pure Ocker accent that just drives me insane. Simular to Andrew Symonds and that isn't a good thing.
