***Official*** England in Sri Lanka

Lostman

State Captain
Interesting stat;
Murali against England
has a S/R of 48 in England
and a S/R of 70 in Sri Lanka
Infact all his numbers are better in England other than economy rate. Average is 19.2 in England as opposed to 20.3 in Srilanka.
Needs to step it up big time:)

Sounded worse with Nick Knight, though - commenting just seconds before that delivery that he was looking good. And he's on to everyone watching this game, not just the millions of CW.

SL have bowled superbly so far today, though obviously you can't plan deliveries like the Fernando one else everyone would bowl them every ball. Every wicket has been a genuine one. Should be 1-0 come midday (over here) at the latest.

Personally, I don't think Vaughan trusts spinners in general hence why, with support from Fletcher, your guys were lumped with Giles for so long. I don't think an attacking spinner will get a decent go whilst Vaughan is captain because this is hardly the first time he's preferred pace options.
Disagree; we were "lumped" with Giles because of the "you need variation" rubbish; the best option would have been to go in without spinners in about 1\3 of Giles' Test-matches. If anything there was too much trust in spin from Fletcher\Hussain\Vaughan. FTR, here's the list of games I'd not have picked Giles in:
One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six
Seven
Eight
Nine
Ten
Eleven
Twelve
Thirteen
Fourteen
Fifteen
Sixteen
Seventeen
Eighteen

Plus possibly a few others... that's 18 definite ones out of 50. And there were others where I knew he was virtually no chance of doing anything much, but given recent performances was always absolutely 100% to be picked.

Well that's SL got shot of Collingwood too... Prior to score anything of note I wonder? EDIT: forgot Bopara...

Either way, that should be the end of the game now... just hope Bell doesn't waste the chance of a not-out.

Not Terrible
Prior.

Hopefully he sticks around long enough for Malinga to get his wicket (along with a few others) deserves them IMO.
