***Official*** England in Sri Lanka

Not Terrible
Seems to me Malinga misses out on a lot of very good LBW shouts. The only one's I can ever remember seeing him make are the the yorkers that are so blatantly going to hit the stumps the Umpires have to give em. Wonder if this is because of his action being different so its harder for the umps to judge.

Well I certainly wasn't expecting batting to get easier today.
I am surprised Sanath or others like Chamara Silva haven't been used ...

50 run lead very important in a low scoring game. Another 30 plus and I would say England have the Match ...Unless they collapse badly in the second innings..

I reckon this is the best Hoggard will ever bat in his career TBH. Cannot believe his timing today, never seen anything like it.

Yay, at last! :toot:

Sheeys, these Lankans know how to celebrate. Love Bumble in heat-of-the-moment: "And it's never, ever gonna be got anywhere near".

Beat ya to it. :p

Anyway, let's hope for a swift end to this innings and us getting back in with the ball ASAP.

Yes..you did:ph34r:

England's lead (looks like 100) is extremely Handy and unless SL really do something good batting second time around, IMHO is a match winning lead at this low scoring Venue...

Hoggard gone, MSP shouldn't take long to get rid of either.

Dunno TBH, if Hoggard doesn't get it to swing (and whether he will or not I haven't a clue, Vaas really swung it in 1 over but no more than that) I reckon SL could get plenty in the second-innings. A lot depends on MSP's bowling.

Good, Hoggard gets given the opening over. No swing so far, but it took a couple of overs in the first-innings so no alarm quite yet...

Never understand why people bother with sessions that are 2 overs. Who on Earth really wants to play those?

Sessions should be a minimum of 5 overs IMO.
