Well Karthik might have done well so far as an opener in test cricket but i don't think he is the right man to open the innings, India should find somebody who is a specialist opener rather than opting for makeshift options.
Big innings for this for Dravid i hope he can silence his critics with a gun innings today.

Kaneria has been dire for a long time now. I can't recall the last time he won Pakistan a match.

It's sad to see Sami( ave 47) is still playing for Pakistan. And S Tanvir averaging 30 + in FC and making his debut.These players would have had no chance of making the PAK team 5 oor 10 years ago.

Sami bowling far better now but Tanvir just doesn't look test-class. He's bowling in the 120s with little movement, little variety and merely decent accuracy. Akhtar Ayub, Jamshed Ahmed ... are these guys ready?

Anyways is just can't understand what happened to all the raw Pakistani talent we keep on talking about, guys like Kaneria, Rehman, Sami, Hameed, Nazir, Akmal, Hafeez, Rao, Tafeeq Umar, Faisal Iqbal, Arafat, etc have all been handed over with chances over and over again but they just don't seem to have skill or talent to last at the international level.
Pakistani cricket's biggest strength over the years has been the big pool of raw talent they had to pick players from but that doesn't seem to their anymore judging by the quality of players they have been picking off late or is it the case of the Pakistani team just not picking the right players?
