After 4 games in FC, I've somehow managed to remain unbeaten and have climbed up to 3rd in the league. I'm playing a side tomorrow who have a fairly poor batting lineup, and an alright bowling attack, boosted by one quality fast bowler who has taken 36 wickets in 4 games at an average of 8.39. A one-man team if ever there was one...

I'm hoping that I can see off the gun bowler and cash in on the rest of their attack, and take twenty wickets relatively cheaply - it'd be nice to only have to bat once. To that end, I'm playing Woods (resp/comp), who should enjoy bowling at their batsmen as well as a couple of spinners on a dusty wicket. Should be an interesting game. Kepler is being saved for another big OD game on Friday - his scores so far this season have been 57, 85, 146*, 133, 46* and 138.

Spitfire, your enthusiasm for your team is really infectous and I wouldn't mind sharing in a bit of it. :)

Lost both my openers for no runs. Haha.

Even though it's unwinnable, and probably undrawable, we need to make a fight of this. 200 is a minimum, please.

EDIT: Three down with none on on the board. Trying really hard not to be angry. We're not that bad.

End of Over 3 (Maiden). Brackenhurst: 0-3, runrate=0.00
Foyle 2-2-0-2
Hamlin* 0 (2 balls)
Read 0 (3 balls)

Flat pitch, sunny day... maybe I should have bowled first?

Brackenhurst - 61/10 off 25.5 overs
Hindle 23* (29)
Foyle 7/31 (13)

Romy - 403/4 dec. off 78 overs
Holand 144* (161)
Carter 116 (143)
Churms 59 (79)
Holmes 2/96 (19)
Hindle 1/45 (11)
Lake 1/91 (24)

Brackenhurst - 11/1 off 6 overs
Abbey 8 (19)
Steyn 2* (15)
Bardle 1* (2)

Not a great day. First innings dreadful apart from Hindle. Bowling alright, could've done better after having them 161/3, but not to be. Abbey out on the third last ball of the day was the spit on the cake.

Really needed the money from this one, but it obviously won't go past the second day. And hence, following Hindle's lead, the top seven will be on very attacking. Aiming for 150.

Haha, getting suitably owned in my FC game.

Magical Ponies 32 (33.5)
Ziauddin 9 (68), Giffin 8 (65), Kilkenny 6 (26)

Kingsmeadows 2/402 dec. (71.0)
Erasmus 1/67 (18), Dunne 1/67 (12)

Magical Ponies 0/15 (5)
Farmer 10* (21), Donohoe 4* (9)

Playing very much a seconds team, doesn't really look like I'll be making the third day though. Oh well, tomorrow should bring me into profit for the week.
